slider cams suck compared to roller cams!

actually, quite a few people make serious power with a stock tbi or turbo roller cam. the advantage of a stock grind is better idling and more vacuum to run your brakes and other stuff!

yeah, but who makes aftermarket roller cams???? what if I wanted to do some really radical stuff and need a different cam. Where can I get a roller performance cam? because this question is specifically for a NON-turbo application.

I've been running slider cams in my N/A engine because I haven't found any radical roller cams. My current cam is .576" lift, 264° dur @ .050" with a 104° lobe center and 90° overlap. Where can I find an equivalent cam in a roller.

I found a company called Lazer Cams http://www.lazercams.com/ but they do not answer there phones or emails. So I don't know if there cams will work in roller applications but they say 1981-1996 2.2-2.5 engines.

It's unfortunate, but the owner of Lazer Cams died the end of last year and the shop is closed down permenately. I talked with him about a cam for my CSX and he calculated some crazy specs which would have been a very high lift. My head guy here in Dallas used only his cams for many years because of his knowledge of cams and setups. He told me last month about his death and he didn't have a back up cam guy so I'm really out of luck trying to find blank stocks and someone to grind a good cam.
