How much power you'll gain is anybody's guess.. But whatever power you do gain will be at lower RPM. That turbo is way too small to feed that size engine. If you had one turbo for each bank of cylinders you'd be much better off. Or just get a bigger turbo.

i agree with lametec, way too small for the size motor and will require a lot of fabrication on your part. 2 bigger turbos would work but why not just get a 340 c.i. motor or at least find a good set of 340 heads, a good cam, performance intake and 650 double pumper holley carb. a good set of headers would also help, i have built some 318s and added that stuff and had a potent combo, the heads is where the power is.

Thanks turboscotty and lametec.

Well, i think the cheapest way is to get another turbo and see what happens with both.

I have 318 stock heads but i have headers, weiand x cellerator intake, edelbrock 600 cfm and i will put a 268 cam on it, or maybe an agressive one.

thanks for the quick respond. ahh, other thing, where i can get a cheap carb bonnet? thanks

The stock turbo from a '96 eclipse was to small for the eclipse engine. The end result will be a net loss of power.

You will do better checking out The Turbo Forums.com for information there. Yeah, it's a mustang site, but it's actually just "the turbo forums" now and they have a specific place for old school turbo mopar V8 engines.

If you're not gunning for more than 400-500hp, stick with naturally aspirated.

Aggressive naturally aspirated cams are not good for forced induction.

Think *big* turbo. You've got a lot of reading to do

Much luck!
