good tune up, CAI, exhuast, TB spacers(extra gaskets), remove balance shafts, mill the head......not really much you can do...read the faq

you could do a turbo swap

Get a minivan airbox, it will less restrictive. Then route a cold air intake. Keeping th efactory Shadow airbox won't get you any where

2.50" exhaust, hi flow cat and muffler

+1mm Valve's, port the head

port match the intake manifold to the head

port the exhaust manifold alittle bigger then the head ports

underdrive pulley

make a spacer ~ 2 or 3 throttle body to intake manifold gaskets

That is all I can think of to try

for the intake I would go with an omni top end an a v6 lower end, then use dryer hose and route it under the car....makes for a nice CAI...thats what I have on my spirit.

or I had this idea to take an omni airbox, cut it before the airbox part, like on the part right after it connects to the TB, and heat up the plastic enough taht I could slip it over like a 2" hard pipe

IMO porting would not really be worth it on a TBI engine, the intake manifold is so restrictive it wouldn't make much of a difference. but maybe i'm just thinking that because of how much a difference it would make n/a vs turbo

you could swap to MPI and use a turbo manifold and run the injectors batch fire, or use a turbo wiring harness and zener diode the TPS so it never sees WOT and it should run fine

I'll agree the intake is restrictive. But my thoughts on porting it goo back to the more air you get in and the more air you get out = horseoiwer and torque gains. The cylinder head would benefit you if ported and oversize valve where put in as it goes with the same statement above, makes it less restrictive, allows more air to move in and also move out. I have never seen an omni airbox I would go with one off an omni now

The less restrictive you can make the air flow the more youll gain. Will you ever hit 250HP? Highly unlikely, but 170 or so I would put money on it...

A turbo swap would wake the car up with no doubt... But without a complete parts car on hand it can be a PITA ~ I learned this with my first turbo dodge attempt ~ 1994 Dodge Shadow ~ I had the parts car, but it came with an automatic transmission - not a 5 speed like i needed.

with alot of porting and alot of compression you might be able to get 170 hp\

allmotor hit 350hp n/a.....tall block, stroked to a 2.8 with a custom billit crank, 14:1 compression, .650 lift cam, he was running carbs tho. I can only imagine how muc torque that thing had, I wouldnt be surprised if it was 500ft/lb

yeah....stroker motor, especially if you don't have a turbo. the 2.5 has more bang for the buck than a 2.2. my dynasty was quicker than my k sedan.
