The three piece trim only came with bumper guards, which I've never seen on a GLH before. Regular Omni/ Horizons' (after 85) with bumper guards had
the same trim. If you can't get just the trim off of a guard-equipped bumper,
scuff and paint the chrome matte-black and use the whole bumper. a complete used chrome bumper with guards and correct trim should be less
than $30.00. A lot cheaper than ordering the trim. The guards came mostly
on Horizon/Omni SE's.

The glht has some ecu tunning, a 60 trim turbo (both exhaust and compressor sides, compressor housing off of a nissan), bigger swing valve and housing from turbonetics with a 3" outlet, 3" custom turbo back exhaust, +40 injectors, the turbo 2 intercooler, high volume fuel pump, pretty nice head work done by rocky mountain machining, and its all hooked up to a a520 transmission (rite after the bigger turbo the a525 gernaded itself at the track). It sits higher due to all of the weight taken out of it. We do have a serious positive camber issue in the front because of it.

and I also have access to a shelby lancer however its not mine. Its pretty slow compared to the glht.

I bought an original 86 GLH N/A Carb'd. It ran pretty good for all original, but it needed some carb work and head gasket.. decided to go with the T2 swap instead... it was pretty peppy tho thats for sure. Just didnt feel like messing with the Carb and stuff and until I did everything I wanted to do to it, it made more sense to do the T2 conversion. You dont see many of the N/A GLH's anymore...

Ya shoulda kept it carbd and bought a GLHT! There easy enough to find! Besides your GLH is oober nice and its only original once! Id love to have one that nice.

Oh well, I guess another T2 swapped GLH will just make my Sidedraft Webers and Hooker longtube header stand out even more! GLHTs are gettin to be the Mustang 5.0 of TDs, it seems like everybody has one now!

I love it when people start talking about my GLH and assume its turbo. Most so called TDers dont even know that the first Shelby inspired cars had carbd engines! If anybody researches the history of Shelbys involvement with Chrysler youll find that the carbd cars could really rip if stepped on the right way! Superchargers, Dual carbs, and Twincams were pumpin out serious amounts of power.

The only way to make a carbd car fast isnt to T2 swap it, thats just the easiest way!

Yea well we have 3 GLH's.... Greg's is the clone one for racing/show and then mine was the original carbd car with the T2 swap, and then we have a 3rd original T1 that we are going to restore in the future. I know some people have given me both things on keeping it original or swapping it.. Oh well.. atleast its still a GLH. I cant wait til its done!

I have an 86 NA Omni GLH with the HO 2.2 and the quarter mile times in magazines were quoted as 16.9 - 17.2. The Mopar 2.2 FWD Performance book quoted the quarter as 16.22 (p. 344). I'm sure the regular 2.2 would be around mid - high 17s. In fact, the 86 Horizon "America" (regular 2.2) was quoted as having a 17.5 @ 79 mph by Car and Driver. The newer cars with better heads should be a little quicker.

I have the three piece trim and bumper guards on my GLH. Got them from a junk yard.

Was the quarter mile sloping downward? Was there a slight breeze or tornado in the same direction? LOL
