If you are unsure about working on these cars...I would recommend a Haynes or other type of service manual. They go pretty much step by step through the whole process and are very useful for many other jobs. Defiantly worth the money. And no matter what anyone tries to tell you to do...I would ALWAYS take your time and take the whole head off and clean the surface really well.

Personally I would use the Mopar Performance 2005 head gasket, and not a FelPro. A lot of people have complained about them, but I don't want to start something here by saying they're bad, because I have one in a 87 Labaron and it's working just fine. It's just not worth the risk, because I know the Mopar ones work.

Have the head checked if it seems off, and check the block surface for flatness.

If you have problems getting to or get off the int and Ex mani's pull the head with them still attached. The you can get the off easier.

If you do this, you might want two people because it's pretty heavy, lol.

why would you pull the intake or exhaust manifolds to do a head gasket., it's not all that bad to pull off by yourself. I use my cherry picker to lift off the whole unit.
