i have a sum what different ideal for a tbi car. i'm assuming that the bolt patterns are all the same on the 2 bl carb manifold is the same as a standard 2bl carb flange. if they are why dont some one take the carb manifold and install the dodge truck tbi unit which is a 2 bl all the sensors should plug in. my only though would be that the injectors would be way to big but a lower pressure or some good mods should lean it out decent enough. and my last concern would be wireing in the injectors to work properly so any thoughts, or am i off my rocker thanking this may work and be a good solution.

the V6 / 318 TBI is a 500 CFM TB. Thats too much. Holley sells a 400 CFM 2 barrel, which is still a little big. Then fuel pressure changes with a wideband. comb the junk yards for a Jeep of something that uses a larger bore 1 bbl TBI that you can use. Then there is a Weber or a Demon 350 2 barrel.

there may be some benefit to adapting either the stock TB or perhaps a larger TB (as Pope suggested) to an earlier 'carb'd' mani, since they are sposed to flow better

there are certainly some opportunities to modify the stock TB and stock TBI mani to flow better also; also adding a CAI will certainly help

if I was modding a TBI car I would spend some time on the intake mani, exh mani, head ports, and TB to lightly port / clean them up ; and I would save up for a decent header (not sure if Hooker makes em for us anymore ?) and accompanying exhaust system

realistically, the stock TB wont be a major performance restriction unless you have made other improvements in engine breathing, like a larger cam and exhaust
