1/4 mile AND 3/8 mile circle track application..

I'm thinking powerband of 4000 to 6500rpm

Need some help completing this motor. I want to make sure I have all the right pieces before I start.

Here is what I have now..

1.) 87 Tall Block (rebored and decked .040)
2.) 287 Head (rebuilt, shaved .020, edged and ported)
3.) 2.5 Crank (used from running motor)
4.) 2.5 Piston Rods (used from running motor)
5.) New 2.2 Flat Top Pistons, new moly ring set.
6.) FM .505 Cam (lightly used)
7.) Square Tooth Adjustable Cam Sprocket
8.) MP Head Gasket
9.) Holley 5220 Carb (ported)
10.) Carb Intake * don't have yet, looking for right one, was told '86 was best -- tell me more please.
11.) TBI Exhaust Manifold * don't have yet, thought I did. bought a running 94 FFV Spirit Motor because it was suppose to have the correct exhaust manifold, but it doesn't look like it to me.
12.) 11mm Head Bolts
13.) New Exhaust Flange Bolts
14.) Intake Gasket Kit
15.) Exhaust Manifold Kit
16.) Chrome moly High performance Retainers & Matching Springs - was going to order from Forward Motion
17.) 180* thermostate with 1/16th hole drilled
18.) Ported water pump housing
19.) Ported oil passage
20.) Baffled Oil Pan
21.) VW Igition Module
22.) Omni cap and rotor.

I'm confused about the cam/head combo.. do I need slider or roller ? Do I need special rod caps ? Springs ? What about followers ? Is there anything else I need that I'm forgetting ? Gaskets ? Bearings ? tell me more about "spray ports on the cam caps" and "pt lifters upgrade"

Will this all go back together and run ?
