I'm getting an 89 K-Car for free, from the research I've done, if I understood correctly, they only came with the 2.2's.

couple of questions to help me decide what to do with the car.

- is it possible for it to have a 2.5 from the factory or is it for sure a 2.2?
- can I use the stock 2.2 and add the turbo to it?

your better off just finding a stock 2.2 or 2.5 turbo motor, wiring harness and ecu and going from there. My friend did the same thing with an aires using a motor from a shelby daytona.

Pretty sure an '89 would be a 2.5.

^+1, you'd melt the engine if you put a turbo on it.
