well if you're talking about putting a good induction system on an otherwise stock motor, id say you're gonna gain 15 hp. which is .. like an 18% increase, so go for it!

well, just so you know, i'm cuttin the hoodscoop to make it functional by also cutting a hole in the hood (it'll give the carbs some clearance as well)... then i'm bolting the dual carbs up to a 2.2 head out of a 88 shelby z, it has a roller cam in it too

as for any other mods, i'm not sure what i can do other than track down another spark computer, by air induction what do you mean? do i have this covered with teh functional hoodscoop idea?

induction setup = carbs

I'm not sure that the 88 shelby z cam is a good idea. It's not made to work with a n/a setup, the overlap and that is different. MP used to have some good cams for the 2.2's, call them up and see if they still have some of the n/a cams left.

The hoodscoop idea will work good. Should give you a little more power than running it off of underhood air.

yeh a turbo cam will slow an n/a car down, i believe.. but a roller tbi cam is a good idea, because they're SO much quieter. after hearing the difference i am actively annoyed at how loud my slider car is, lol.
