there are VERY few established, marketed mods.. there is.. an intake..and.. maybe an underdrive pulley?? hehe, its pretty barren.

however, if he doesnt have the manifold tuning valve, i think its a worthwhile upgrade, ive seen dyno charts showing that on a stock engine the valve adds over 10lb ft through the midrange.. the 2.7 is not a torquey engine, so thats a big deal.

of course you can still do your typical exhaust, ive heard some 2.7s with exhausts and they sound interesting, cool enough.

since it has a 604, you could get some lower geared transfer gears for it. this is a well documented mod, on 2GNT, ASOG, ASEC, and maybe others.

the best place i know to go for that car online would be stratusphere forums.

good luck with it

Tell him not to waste his money. That is the worst motor Chrysler ever put out! The 2.5 was even better and that's not saying much.

the 2.7 is a real problem unit. I see an average of 20+ per month that are blown up. however I thought the sebring had the 2.5 not the 2.7 (at least they did when I was a trainer for Chrysler)

The 2.5 Mitsu V6 went away when the JX platform became the JR platform in 2001.

Mods for a 2.7L? Change the oil every 2-3 thousand and save up for another car. Should've bought the "lesser" 2.4L 4cyl!

Hurry up before it sludges...

22dodge the newer ones have the 2.7, also you can get a 5spd. By chance 22dodge does the 2.7's bell-housing match up with anything else?

There are alot of people swapping the 2.7 with a 3.2 or a 3.5. Check this site out http://www.2-7-fix.com/12294.html

XxhorizonxX How about at the bottom of this page http://www.wildflowersgallery.com/ and this one http://cars.kbb.com/go/search/detail...13&aff=carskbb
And if you check out KBB.com they have it as an option on the cars. Yeah the older cars having a 5spd in the base with a 2.0L.
I think that a 3.5L with the 5spd would be nice. hummm maybe in a couple years when they are cheaper.

As I understand it from seeing them at my machine shop, the problem is that oil pools up in the heads, and then bakes into a sludge. If you have used synthetic from new, and change it often, you should be in good shape.
