ci x maximum rpm / 3456 = ideal cfm

ideal cfm x ve = real cfm

135 x 6,600 / 3456 = 258

258 x 90 = 232

135 = 2.2L

6,600 = 2.2 HO with MP 767 cam and tube header.

So my idea of running a 68' 318 250 CFM carb has got to be the ticket for a HO street engine. Both the 318 and the slant 6 2 barrels are Carters and 250 CFM. They have no emission BS and are easy to adjust.

258 x 150 = 387

figure 50% more atmosphere for 8 PSI of boost. A 390 4 barrel Holley is looking really good for SC folks, at least twice what a 32/36 weber is. Even a 350 CFM 68' 383 Carter 2 barrel looks good. But the 4 barrel will get better mileage running little primarys. And I've seen these on 2.2s without a SC,,,,,,

are you blowing through your carb or sucking? I think blow through you can run smaller than what you would otherwise. Turbo 5.0's run in the low 10's/9's with holley 650's blow through.
