Hey guys... My water pump on my 03 5.9 cummins is leaking.. It is the second pump i put on in the last 2 months... I have a couple of questions... Im I suppose to put gasket seal on it or is the rubber O-ring good enough? Also a guy told me to put gasket sealent on the bolts too...Any suggestions? Thanks

lots of people will use an additional sealer, but it was designed to seal with just the o-ring. is it an oe pump? or is it aftermarket? if there was sealant on the original bolts ( i doubt it) then it would be needed

K...its from napa auto.... No it didnt have sealant on the other bolts... So I should put sealant around the pump also then...Last two times it works great for a couple weeks then it starts leaking again...So I will try the sealant and see what happens... Any more info I should know before I do it again? Maybe Im doing something wrong...Doubt it since its only two bolts...Thanks
