So my truck has a problem stating off when stopped.. Its like my tranny is in limp mode or something... But if I swift it manual thru the gears it works great. Any ideas?
Truck info...
2003 dodge 5.9 cummins
Quad cab
Auto tranny
119000 miles..
Banks 6 gun programmer.(I never use it..Always on stock settings)..
Could this be a sensor? Thanks for all the help...

Sounds like it is starting in second gear(limp mode).
You need to connect a scan tool and check for trans codes.

Yea it feels like it is in the wrong gear.. I had a buddy that is a cert ford mech hook his scanner to it and said my computer is full. So the trans gets confused.. I called dodge and they said the computer doesnt get full and they blamed it on the banks kit.. So im lost.. if i pay dodge to figure it out they wont worranty it cuz of the banks kit.. So Im looking for ideas on here..Thanks for the reply

Autozone reads codes for free.
Not sure what thier scanner can read.
Go over and see if they can access the trans controller.
If not you need to get ahold of a DRB3.
Unfortunatly the newer the vehicles get the more complex they get and the less you can do without a factory scan tool.
I am not a diesel tech but work at what was a Jeep Dealer but still have access to Chrysler diagnostics.
If you can get the fault codes then I may be able to help you with diagnostics.
BTW.... What is a Banks system.

Thanks for the info.
Just looked at the site.
Does that controller only replace the stock PCM?
The 2003 Dodge Ram Cummins Turbo uses a seperate trans controller.
There are 18 different electrical fault codes.

Sounds like a torque converter clutch issue to me.
