I will look into an effective way to do that, we ran a small coolant reservoir from DangerZone with alcohol attatched to a washer pump an a boost sensing switch on the Merkur, I wonder if the same setup would work with the fact the boost is a bit more linear with the supercharger?

I think that it would be better to grab a high mileage 2.4l from 96 stratus/caravan complete for a couple hundred ($200), throw in SRT rods/pistons/rings/bearings ($300), bolt on a 5-spd from a dakota ($350) and run twin mitsu's you can probly get for $10 each on this site and run a harness from an 89 turbo ($50) with big injectors ($150) and a calibration from Cindy (($150) with twin SRT intercoolers ($200).

This should be bolt on except the custom exhaust. Use the rest of the money for BEER

Turbo still too peaky for what our intentions are. I AM building another 16V engine, a 2.5L turbo engine, but it is going to be for an extra special project after the TR7 is done. The Dakota trans is useless to me, but I do have a bellhousing from one that will be used. The guy who sets up my rear axles showed me two 2.2L NA Dakota trans with the input shafts destroyed from normal use... A T5 will be fine.

Well the Dakota bellhousing will be here monday for the first rounds fo fitment, I am actually adapting the TR7 trans to the Dak bell instead of the T5. Less money in driveshaft and trans crossmember fabrication. Once the setup is complete and the mounts/manifold are finalized the actual build starts.

Which bellhousing are you using? The old style one on the left or the later style one on the right?

What cams are you planning on running? If you wanted to you could go to neons.org and fine a nice set of used magnum head cams, or even crane 12's or 14's for rather cheap. Or even still, if the head is slightly newer, get a set of cams from a 1995 neon, they have a slightly more aggressive grind, and slight overlap.
