trust me, i discussed this with my boss who has years under his belt designing blower systems, he didnt recommend it either, unles you are building an all out drag car, if you are thata something different, but if you want a nice streetable car its not the choice for what you want.. and yes rpms do matter, yes it puts out alot of cfms, but do you want instant boost and a snappy throttle or a dyno queen setup?..you gotta rememebr our motors are not high revers either, that goes into play as where a civic engine revs really high to take advantage... i just dont want you to be dissapointed after the setup is all done with alot of work put in.. i mean if your still dead set on it, then go for it, i just dont recommend it at all for a daily driven streetable car.. especially not on a 2.5 that doesnt rev super high. as to why teh biggest ill go is an mp62

i still say you should go with an mp62, its a bit smaller but itll dojust fin on our motors, you could probably get away with an mp45, fit it whre the stock a/c goes, and you can make a screamer.. run alittle alcohol injection to keep the temps down and youll see some great hp and tq gains right under the curve.. you can get a mercedes one with an electronic clutch to switch on and off so you can be an ultimate sleeper and rev with it spinning freely then switch it and make it whine.. dont give up so easily, im just trying to direct you to an easier more satisfying path

yea thats what i plan with my twins though.. they are off mercedes, check ebay for mercedes supercharg and youll find alot on sale new and used.. make sure you get the clutched ones though, they are mp45s so theyll work well., that wya you can give someone an n/a rev and when they rev back give a nice whined rev and watch thier eyes open and jaws drop..lol

Well if you are building a dyno queen or a drag strip car it would make no sense to me to use a roots charger. Use the roots charger if you want a fun street car or a competitive autox/circut car.

<- going roots, because it's easier than creating custom intake manifolds and brackets and all that stuff. I don't care if I don't run 10's. I just want it to be original.

"OMG! you're putting a supercharger kit on your LeBaron?"

"No one makes a supercharger kit for it, I'm doing it all my own way"

^^ thumbs up, go for it, an mp62 would be great for the 3.0 liter in the lebaron, if you need ideas or help i can help with sc outlet design and what not made from simple of the shelf parts..

Those clutched blowers would be great! Run two of them and have them turn on at different times or at the same time. What are the displacements for the mercedes and toyota units? You could set them up to turn on right from the get go or possibly one at a time? HMMMMM!

I am a bit confused: I thought the clutched supercharger used in the earlier 230SLK were M62s. Also, does anyone knows how many turns the coil used in the clucth for that SC has? I am rebuilding one and am stuck at that point.
