I have just recently bought an 86 daytona turbo z. It has been sitting for a while so i have done all of the routine checks to make sure that it will run: putting oil into each cylinder, hand crank, new battery, etc. Now the engine turns over fine no excessive noise, sounds like a dream, but it just won't start. What could it be?

Okay, fuel pressure ok, timing ok, new ignition system, spark, new fuel pump, new filter, turns, but still no start. battery gauge goes down when trying to start and fuel guage says that their is no fuel in the tank. What could be the problem.

how much oil did you put in the cylinders and did you clear it out before tring to start it? could it have fouled the plugs?

well, if you have fuel pressure, spark, and timing, check your firing order. I think plenty of people have done it backwards, at least that's what I tell myself!!! Barring that, I agree with xtrempickup and you should try to rule out the HEP.

spray some starter fuild in and crank it, if it fires, you got no fuel coming in and its eitehr bad hep, clogged fuel filter , could even be bad distributor, mine ate the hep and took me a while to figure it out after repalcing the hep and it eating it once more before i replaced the whole thing

anyways...how much oil did you use. I would take out the plugs and clean or replace them. Then crank it over without the plugs in for a little bit, and see if you can smell gas in the cylinders. Also, add some fresh gas to the tank, you could just have old gas in there.

Stupid questions, but this car DID run when it was parked, correct?

Isn't this thread supposed to have something to do with superchargers? Not trying to be a jerk, just works out that way sometimes.
