I am looking into (among other things) a supercharger for the shadow, does anyone know of a good bolt on that may be in the market, since my car no longer has an A/C I thought it mioght not be too difficult to replace that with a superchrger by modifying the bracket so one will fit; running about 5 - 10Psi. the goal i torque over HP and I think that by getting the compression at about where a stock N/A engine would be, and just strengthen up te bottom end with a tougher crank and rods. Anyone know of a good source for these type of superchargers, or has anyone done this before?

just curious

I like the idea of no turbo lag, and a rising rate style boost sounds cool (higher RPM = more boost right?), plus I have kinda always liked turbos some what

No lag...that is true, but with the right turbo setup you can achieve very minimal lag. I don't think that it is a rising rate type of situation, superchargers are less efficient and spin slower than turbos, and you can't run as much boost. And you will also get less gas mileage with a supercharger. And if you've always liked turbos, now's a good time to have one

That being said... there is someone on here that did install a supercharger on his daytona and posted a video. I don't know if anyone remembers who it was, but I can try and find it if you have trouble. But you could ask him about it.

Yep...that's the one. I forgot that it was a 3.0. You should watch that video though, that thing was LOUD. That supercharger wine would get to me in about 2 minutes, lol. Make sure that the noise is something that you are willing to handle.

You have to get the right turbo appearently, on the 2.5 in my charger with a T2 Garrett, I get full boost at 2,400rpm.
