Geez you werent joking, your getting the nos setup! Whats that holleys cfm compared to the weber 38?

I think the weber38 is 390-400cfm and the Holley I'm using is 500cfm. this should be sufficient enough. if there is more then 5"Hg below carb/above supercharger then the carburetor is too restrictive and has an influence on manifold pressure. il get pictures of the throttle bracket I made at work last night.

okay i went to drop the supercharger on the intake and it would not fit with to solenoids bolted to the carb adapter plate. So where the bulkhead(firewall) is rounded near the center top i just cut of some material and it fit the way it should. the choke may hit under acceleration so more material may be coming out in the future. the throttle bracket is about finished. Just need to polish it up and it will be good to go. i did not spend time making a design out of it. i just came up with it from a piece of scrap metal so it would be structurally sound and robust without cracking from vibration in the future. spent about 1 hour on it. the hardest part was cutting the square bore for the stock throttle cable mounting tab. as for the carb cable/linkage mount I welded a little stud in the top hole facing inward that worked out perfect for the linkage setup. i filled it in and grinded it down for a cleaner look. a belt tensioner will be coming soon. I have a couple tensioners from a 5.7L that were in the dumpster at work. so i'll be making a new bracket for an idler with the tensioner for better belt wrap.

Jose that looks wicked, your pretty darn good at metal fab. Are you going to leave the sc unpainted this time? I want to polish mine up like that. This spring/summer Id like to intall those t2 rods and some oversized pistions in the rampage, I ran a tube from my valve cover to the carb instead of just a little breather because I was getting quite a bit of blow by.

yea I like the polished look better. any thoughts from using a plate over a fogger nozzle for means of injecting the nitrous would be nice. I found a nitrous plate for the 2bbl Holley on eBay for about 35$. then I can just run a low psi pump and proper jets.

the plate atomizes it better and distributes it better. But that is a good reason to have it over the blower though as it mixes everything. Your nozzle is also pointed in the middle where the rotors are spinning to wards the carb. Most likely doesn't matter though. But if it is easier to adjust with the plate I'd think it may make your choice. I also thought you can drill the existing plate and add the nitrous pipe to the current plate too. Hood clearance if that is an issue lol

I did point the nozzle in the center for two reasons. first being that it would not be in the Venturi path and second that the supercharger would seperate the extra mixture to both sides rather then one side which may cause extra load on one lobe over the other. I'm really not sure if using one over the other will make a difference since it goes through the supercharger. but maybe it does and it'd be nice to know. hood clearance is the last thing on my mind. lol

I have been watching your posts on the nitrous set up. I was running a 144 blower on my 61 biscayne small block, with nitrous.. They worked very well together. The only downside issues I had was when I hit the bottle, it of course went to pulling very hard, but as it spun the motor up so fast I was having problems with the belt spinning and occasionally shredding, because the tensioner could not keep it tight enough.. Mine was only a 6 rib belt.. The larger 172 blower had a 10 rib belt and dod not have the issues.. Hopefully this will not happen to you running a 50 shot.... Good luck, and keep us posted..

I've been working on the fuel cell when i have time and getting the fuel line bent and ready for install. But now im running into problems with the fuel regulators.. I have a low pressure regulator(mallory 4309) for the carb and a high pressure regulator(paxton) for the nitrous. I cant find a good location for the both of them. I would like to keep them out of the engine bay cause i really dont know where to mount them. and i found a good location in the area of where the gas tank sat. however i would have to crawl under the vehicle to set the pressures and check them at the point of injection. im just not sure if being that far away will cause an issue. if i install them in the engine bay then i will need even more return line and it will look like crap. i'm trying to keep the lines on the passenger side as thats where the fuel bowl sits and the nitrous/gas solenoids face.

Have you figured out where you want to put the regulator? It would most likely be easiest to tuck it up under the rear near the tank so you dont have to run a lot of line and the rear end isnt rear low to the ground like the sides of the vehicle. Crawling under wouldnt be as much of a pain. You can always change it later. Cant wait to see what you have in store!

no not yet but I think I'm just gunna put them on the gas tank area. il just have to check the pressures at the engine. hopefully it works out okay. I still need to get the trunk layed out with new sheet metal and get the tank installed. that will be soon. I have a couple days of work yet then I can start it up and tune the carb.

so I emailed US-131 Motorsports Park about running nitrous with a supercharger and they said Nitrous is not allowed with turbochargers or superchargers. I dont see why they wouldnt allow it. Takes the fun out of everything for me. good thing i live in Michigan and know a lot of country back roads and have a mopar performance timer in my car... i mounted the fuel regulators and have the hard line bent. picking up sheet metal today for the rear and will get the tank mounted this weekend if we dont work.
