You could also maybe think about Methanol injection. It would help cool and add fuel.

Why not just use a Megasquirt for less money and get tunable ignition, datalogging capabilities and more flexibility while you're at it?

So, like you know you can buy the MS prebuilt, right? Check out the user's manual. Its no harder than installing a car stereo on the pre-built units. The wiring is straightforward and the folks on the MS board are very helpfull and the install manual is top-notch. If you're really freaked, you could make friends with a local car audio installer and give him a case of beer to install it for you.

The Vortech is neat and all but $325 for a fuel pressure regulator? Sorry an adjustable rate fuel pressure regulator.... seems kinda steep to me.

Good luck with it,
Stefan

Well i plan on boosting alot later on so why get the non adjustible unit? just go balls out on the adjustable one

Edit* well on second thought i might as well... out of a job... but with the mega squirt you still have to get a bunch of components right?

Depends, are you suckthrough or blowthrough? Megasquirt would work ith off-the shelf EFI components. So, yeah you'll need a fuel pump, injectors, coolant temp sensor and throttle position sensor. If you are sucktrhough, then nabbing a TBI unit from a V-8 GM or something would get you the injectors and TPS. Coolant Temp sensor is already in place on your cylinder head. Add a fuel pump and the necessary regulator and all is well. Sicne the injectors aren't having to open against the boost pressure, you won't need a rising rate regulator. This is the main difference between suckthrough and blow through. The location of the injectors in regards to the intake stream.

Okay, so you'll more than likely need a bigger set of injectors (not sure what size the 3L's came with) and a simple one to one rising rate regulator (fuel pressure goes up one pound for every one pound of intake pressure). The early T1 cars had a more or less universal unit (two fuel barbs and a vacuum port) and they sold tons of them. There are a number of formula's available on various websites to help determine the necessary injector size needed. You can also control extra injectors if you want to use what you have already.

Look into mustang injectors. They run 19lbers stock but their upgrades may be useful to you.
