Hey all,
Can anyone post me a few pics on how they have the throttle cable positioned from there carb with a supercharger set up? I'm having some difficulty here.

Hey John,

Take a peek at the PNW-SDAC website, they have scans of original Mopar B&M supercharger installation manuals...There seems to be a couple of photos in there that may help (unfortunately, not the best quality pics though). Hopefully it helps.

Thanks for the compliments John.

If I recall the B&M manual was vague in this area and the pictures didn’t show much.

Do you have the carb adapter plate that goes on the blower? If so there should be a couple of threaded holes in the front of the plate. I think this is where a bracket was supposed to be attached.

What I would do is make up a bracket to bolt onto the adapter plate using these holes. You could cut off part of a spare throttle bracket and bolt them together by drilling some adjusting holes in the brackets. You can make one out of some kind of bracket from a parts car. Find one (or bend it) in sort of an “L” shape to come around the side of the carb a bit. Then bolt part of a stock throttle bracket to it.

That or you could basically do the same only use the carb bolts on the front base of the carb for your attaching point like I did with my Weber 38. Either way, Just be careful to get the proper length and angle going to the throttle arm on the carb.

According to the B&M manual, the stock carb can be used with this blower. It will probably work ok to get it up and running but to get the full advantage of the blower, you’ll want a larger carb that flows more CFM. The Weber DGAS/DGES (390 cfm) is a good choice, which is what I used on mine. It’s a big improvement over the stock carb in performance and reliability and has great throttle response compared to the stock carb too.

Hey Shelby-Rampage,
The pully I purchased off of you awhile back didn't work correctly so I had one made up with the use of half of the pully. Look at my cardomain site I took afew pics of it..Once I get a longer belt and some time on my hands (looks like spring time now! LOL!) I'll be able to tell if it fits..I mangaed to get the pully down to half its size and still made it adjustable..Check it out.

John,
I see on your site you do have the SC carb adapter I mentioned earlier. Like I said I’d try using it’s threaded bolt holes in the front for an attaching point for the throttle bracket and go from there.

On the tensioner pulley…I tried to warn you about the fit!…lol. I have yet to hear from anyone with this B&M blower who installed the kit’s tensioner pulley assembly in an L body that got it to work properly. In your pics the mods made look really good. I hope it works out for you.

I know other guys that have made up their own tensioners for the B&M kit and some of them have used a spring loaded pulley that pulls the belt inward from the outside of the belt, just like a serpentine belt. That style seems to work good.

Other than the clearance issue, biggest thing on the tensioner pulley is to make sure there is enough spring tension on the belt to keep it from slipping too much or you won’t make hardly any boost.

On mine, I just skipped the whole tensioner ordeal and used a smaller belt, tightening it with the PS pump…works good so far.

Good luck and let us know how you make out.
