Do you happen to have a tach or a scanner to check the RPM at highway speed. Mines extremely low for a 4 cly. Has the power dropped or has it always been like this since you've owned it. The 4cyl dodges tend to have a miss at idle.

what year was the crank out of for the fwd? they didnt start drilling out the crank for the pilot bearing till 86 for the rwd in the dakotas. found that out while doing the research for mine. its in the 2.2/2.5 fwd performance book

I need to drill a crank for RWD. It's a common-block. Can anyone tell me exactly what drill size and depth required?

Derek, still DD on the 2.5 TBI. I got the Hybrid 2.5 mockup still on my bench where it has been for the past year. I have a Holset HY35W turbo for it. I did cut a custom underdrive pulley for it that is for a K (six-groove) serpentine belt.

You can install an instrument cluster that includes a Tach but you will have to run the tach wire from the SBEC to the cluster. The 4 cylinder Dakota harness did not include the tach wire. It will work just fine after that.

You don't have to do anything to take into account for the # of cylinders? I may have to look for a cluster that has one. Having a tach would be nice.

No, the signal comes from the SBEC or SMEC. The instrument cluster is just a display device.
