I want to convert my neon to a RWD and would like to know if there is a RWD trans that is a direct bolt up to the 2.0 motor.

Car is a 2002 Neon 2.0 magnum motor. the motor has pistons/rods and turbo. Since i have so much in it I want to still use it in a RWD conversion.

Thanks
Dirck

Una, for the 2.0 Magnum motors will it just be a bolt on affair and go for the liberty transmission? Would the liberty transmission work with the Dakota bellhousing? I know, bad questions but they have been bugging me for awhile.

You've got a lot of choices when it comes to converting a 2.0 to RWD. Please read this link. Pay attention to Item #1 then jump to Item #11.

http://www.jeeps-offroad.com/tech-ar...lhousings.html

You can also use the new 6-speed Getrag NSG 370 from the 05-06 Jeep Liberty. You'll have to find one that's 2WD and specifically for the 2.4L. You'll also have to use the Liberty 2.4L flywheel in any application you decide on. They are thicker than the passenger car flywheels.

any word on how much power the stock clutch on the 03-04 liberty's can take when used on a 1,500 pound (ish) car? how much do these transmissions cost? how far back is the shifter from the front of the bell housing?

looking into getting a mid 70's MGB and putting a semi worked over 2.4L in it with a narrowed 8 3/4"
