moparfwdsleeper thanks for the compliment, you must be a P body fan . As for showing it off in Oklahoma, I'd like to make another trip to FWD Performance sometime in February or March for another tune. If I do we could probably meet up somewhere, I usually take interstate 35 straight through Oklahoma. As for the pictures I could take a few more if you let me know what you want.

Since I haven't posted in a while, the only changes I've done to the car is put larger tires on the back. Went from 225x50x16 to 245x50x16 they fit and look much better to me. Also picked up a Mazda power steering rack, haven't decided for sure if I'm going to use it or not. I really hate to add more junk under the hood but I miss the one finger turns when parking.
Decided I need a spare engine so I'm putting another one together with the JE pistons I got off ebay from Cindy. I'll also be using the 2006 Holset turbo with the larger compressor wheel on this engine. Hope to have the new engine installed sometime in February and the one in the car now will be the spare.

Larry, I am alittle bit of a fan lol

I've been thinking about trying to RWD my 88 Shadow later on if I ever figure out how to do fab work LOL! As for pictures just any that you feel like taking would be fine with me, I can't get over how well a Shadow looks with RWD. Man if I could do it to mine...

When you make it back down to Cindy's im right off the Turner Turnpike in Depew(74028). I'd love to see it in person

Power steering is in and working. 2 1/2 turns lock to lock. Mazda RX7 rack, Mitsubishi pump and reservoir. Installation went a lot smoother than I expected.

For the downpipe did you use the flange off the stock exhaust elbow or did you use a 4 inch V-band flange and clamp? I am trying to figure out if I can use a 4 inch v band flange or if I will need to find an elbow since the inside diameter of the outlet of the turbine housing is around 3.75 inches.

I used the flange off a stock diesel downpipe. I actually bought a section of down pipe from the same guy I got the turbo from. When it arrived it didn't have the v-band flange on it just a flared end. I would like to see a picture of how it was attached to the HE351 turbo. It was made out of heavy gauge steel, so I just welded up a thick bead around the end and ground it down to fit the v-band clamp that came with the turbo.

I've read through all of the posts regarding the engine/trans/clutch configuration. From what I'm reading to run the R154 trans with a 2.4 block the bellhousing must be shortened to accomodate a shorter input shaft. Did you have to do this or this is only for the 2.4 block?

Wow that car is amazing! Beautiful! I realized you are in my neck of the woods! I am in overland park. If she's running you should come to the hpac all mopar show at cabelas by Kansas speedway June 7-8. And if you are needing any parts you are invited to come down to my yard in Odessa mo and do a little looking. Love your car and hope to see it someday.

Honestly I haven't read up on using the R154 with the 2.4 block so I have no idea what the differences are. On mine I used a custom bushing which moves the Supra pilot bearing closer to the transmission. Here's a link with a picture of the bushing: Bushing Question: R154 to a 2.2 with Dak Bell Hsng

Turbokid:
thanks for the compliments and the offer to check out your yard. I might make the HPAC show this year. I've never been able to make any of the local car shows or swap meets because I have always had to work Saturdays and Sundays, except for vacation. But currently I have Fridays and Saturdays off so maybe this year.

If you could have only made it to the park when I was in KS

It is a sweet, clean build! I offered him what I had(was willing to pass on the GLH for it, must be a P=Bpdy thing for me) he really chuckled at the offer and declined lol. It was a lower ball offer IMO

I'm hoping be up there in June!

he bolted it to the exhaust manifold. then the exhasut turns it? changing the mounting of it has no affect in which way it spins, it can only spin one direction.
