Hello everyone. I'm new to this site and mopar turbo four cylinders but not new to the mopar world. I help out in a restoration shop and the owner has a 70 Challenger r/t so we're mopar freaks over here. Anywho, I have a 1999 Dodge Dakota Sport with a 2.5l with manual trans. I've givin it much thought and I think it would be very cool to throw a turbo in my truck. I am willing to spend the money and do the time. I've never fooled with a turbo engine so I need to be schooled. My engine is completely stock and running perfect with about 120,000 miles. I wanna know everything i'm gonna have to do to set up my engine for a turbo. All I know is big blocks so that's a start, but I think you guys could give me the know it all. Any pics, websites, information, etc. would be great!

also, if you'd like to check out the recent body work and two tone paint job i jus got done doing on my dakota feel free to check out my cardomian page. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2523482

I had the same truck about a year ago and I wanted to do the same thing, I sold it instead. It has the same engine as Jeep 2.5, do a google for a turbo jeep and there were some listed. I think it can be done, you will need a turbo header built to mount the turbo too, some oil and coolant lines plus a way to add more fuel. Keep us posted..
