The origional concept for the 1990 Daytona that came out in 1988(IIRC) was a 4WD using a suspension that could raise or lower the car and a VNT.

Interesting to note that the rear taillights look a HELL of a lot like the 2nd gen 300ZX from 1991-1995 or so.

No, not for public consumption. The first was the Daytona+4 that Shelby worked on. The only other one that I'm aware of was that 1990 concept Daytona.

No, I'm not talking about the wide-body one. The car I'm reffering to was a completly different car.

Yeah they tried. It would really have been something. but budget cuts. you know how it is. But we can only imagine what could have been.
