I am picking up an 87 shelby Z on sunday for my project car.
The vert is my wife Pam's. Its been for sale for a while . It is clean just that no one has coughed up enough dough for it yet.

Just gathering parts right now. Main focus is getting the Rampage running and building a garage in the back yard this summer.
I really like that colt I had a 79. I didn't know 2 door ones were available that late in production..

Is that front crossmember part of the old Mopar kit? Or is it hand fabbed? And what steering knuckles are you using for the front steer convesion?

I been lurking around the RWD section gathering information to do a 2.2 swap.

I love driving the car but am not happy with the lack of power.

I guess finding (what tranny) is the hardest part!

What's your plan for tranny?

I'm using a 904 3 spd auto. If your colt is a auto it also has a 904 in it.
. I bought a 2.4/small block V8 adapter plate off of Turbo Colt on the turbo mopar lists

guess the cat is out

That is a Genuine Mopar Performance front cross member. It uses a dakota rack and you just flip the stock spindles side to side or use minivan ones if you want 4.5" bolt circle wheels.

I just saw a guy today that had a shadow with a rwd conversion. He used a common block, dakota bellhousing, 90 celica turbo tranny, and a ford 9 inch. It was pretty sweet. He also had a holset turbo off of an 05 cummins. It was a crazy build! But succesful. He used a mazda steering rack.
