Mopar did make one.... More than likely you will not find one, unless you know a guy that knows a guy that is working in some obscure corner of a wearhouse, somewhere in the land of lost socks and missing remote controls.... The following might help though, I got it from the "Pit Stop" section, in the back of the Dec. '03 Hot Rod magazine.... According to the author, the kit contained:

"Referenced Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth minivan parts are from models with five-stud, 4.5 inch bolt-circle wheels. Do not use parts from '84-85 with four-stud, 4.0 inch wheels, or those from '87-90 five-stud, 4.0 inch bolt circle wheels. Caliper design (1 or 2 pin) must be used with the correct corresponding hub and knuckle."
-- Hollander Interchange Numbers ----
Part type Usage Part#
-----------------------------------------------------------
Caliper (1 pin)--------------- 89-90 minivan --- 377
Caliper (2 pin)--------------- 87-88 minivan --- 327
Hub (1 pin)------------------ 89-90 minivan --- 1248
Hub (2 pin)------------------ 87-88 minivan --- 1211
Knuckle (1 pin)--------------- 89-90 minivan --- 939
Knuckle (2 pin)--------------- 87-88 minivan --- 913
Rotor (11" o.d., 5-stud) ----- 87-90 minivan ----- 1216
Steering rack (manual)------- 87-90 Dakota ---- 1390
Strut------------------------ 86-90 minivan ----- 1002
------------------------------------------------------------

Hurdles appear to be, the minivan springs possibly being too weak (try custom ones), the k-member (mopar performance) isn't available anymore (bottom has to be cut out of a daytona piece, to fit the v-8 (looks like oilpan clearance, from the pics), and the wheels end up sticking out too far (either relocate the daytona control arms inboard, or cut and narrow the arms). Also, from the pics in the article, it looks like the spindles are flipped around, so that the tie-rods connect in the front, rather than the back.

And that's about all I know about that (so far).

WOW, some interesting reading here, alot of good ideas, hope a few follow through and post some pics. As i sat here reading about these ideas and the cars people want to do up, one car popped into mind and thats the Pontiac Fiero, rear engine rwd, small ass car, handles great, very roomy inside, not to mention about 500.00 for a nice one running. would that be possible to do a 2.2 -2.5 turbo in one?

I know that if a 350 can be shoe-horned into a fiero that a 2.2/2.5 should be easy. I'd imagine that you'd just take out the fiero's stock eng/trans, and more or less, bolt in the 2.2/2.5. Not sure about the track width, compared to a dodge, but it sounds do-able. Axles might get tricky though.

That has been done, I just can't remember who did it. There is also a Shadow with two engines by someone on this board. I imagine the swap would go much the same. But a transaxle in the trunk is not what I am after. My project is a rumble seat coupe...where would the kids sit?

That little roadster is badass!
I saw it at last November's SEMA show. We couldn't figure out what the hell the transmission is. If anyone has any idea, I'd sure like to know.

I don't know what tranny he's using but starting in '03 you can get a Jeep Wrangler with a 2.4L DOHC and 5 spd. trans.

The Spitfire works well. Plenty of throttle response! I've been told that it breaks loose at 35mph almost at will. Only running 6lbs of boost at the moment too.

so, the right clutch (no pilot bushin?) the '95 2.5L dakota bell housing, and a supra 5 speed (up to ~92ish?) bolted in, a custom clutch cable and shifter (?), custom driveshaft, and a rear axle (I remember reading that 70's A body rear ends are exactly 1" narrower than L body rear axles) and boom, a RWD 2.2/2.5... I just might have to do that for my Rampage, just gotta weld something in to keep the sucker from twisting all about, and to be bolted to in the engine bay...

Any good sites for RWD converts using these parts? Any complete (COMPLETE) parts list (including years and makes/models of cars) to get everything needed for this? Would be very useful for making a Rampage a useful hauler, and an awesome drag truck

The stock dakota throw out with pressure plate, slave and arm. It is just the complete early dakota trans set up. The car is currently out getting an 8.8 posi rear with 2.88 gears. this will be more compatible with the trans gearing.

nvr2old- What are you doing about the speed/distance sensor? Are you using a SMEC from a manual trans car/van?
Bringing this question back up, as I don't think I saw it answered. How would one handle the issue of the speed/distance sensor? It would be good to have speedometer that works, plus doesn't the computer get all pissed if it does not receive a speed distance sensor signal?

Something else just ocurred to me, does Quafie make their torque-biasing differentals for RWD applications? Is there a torque biasing diff available for RWD setups period? Is there a reason a torque-biasing setup would not be desirable?

Some Mazda Miata's came with an ATB from the factory.
