95 Dakota 2.5 turbo.

Hello community...I have been building a 95 Dakota 2.5 Turbo and am so very close! My build consists of 2.5 common block 20 over, Forged internals, F4 cam, RWD 2 piece manifold (yes I cut it up), SPEC stage 3+, T04E remote mounted, and MS3 V3.0. Hope you all enjoy and thank you for the parts i have acquired from a few members here. Ill try and stay updated as tuning commenses....UNA and any others running Megasquirt that has a good tune please communicate, share, propigate ur countless hours of research with me!

Oh man they are ALL OVER here in Nashville! MOF...truck like mine 95 Dakota sport with V6 Auto on corner lot down the road....Runs, typical paint fade...$2500 asking price but its been there cpl months and for sale by owner...

I've been thinking of one for a while, need a gas mileage work truck really lol. But my plenum with the TB plate welded on the other side and a TBI turbo header looks to be the easy way out.

On the computer, contact NAJ on the truck and use a mini van wire harness. With the pin outs connect the dash wiring to the mini van wiring. Being a later rig maybe a 92 Shadow turbo SBEC would be best. Then FWDperformance can just build a cal to what you want, even have boost control and the right fan control with boost. AC comes off under boost etc. MS means it is still running the truck as a NA and your running a MBC. A MBC with a truck means constant boost and eating a lot more fuel vs a lower part throttle boost setting with computer controled boost.

Shel-game has a flashable computer, a SMEC and a SBEC. But requires the turbo harness.

That is the first one I've seen with AC and 4 banger, real score. Nice looking truck too.

It is a lot harder to add MS and make a cal than to change a harness.....

i have a book that shows the bulk head pin outs if anyone needs them, now i dont have a scanner but i am sure i could figure something out, but i am gonna do something like this with my 90 dakota, but seeing your trucks a 95 yours should have the ax-15, trans, which is the better one, which you can swap a 87-90(i think) turbo supra trans onto your bell housing and that will never brake

MS as in Megasquirt. Megasquirt 3. I need tune help from someone who has done a Megasquirt on the turbo 4cyl. The flash able SBEC is looking like a viable option. Seems some are running very well.

There are many TDs out there running many many cals based off of the origanal code from Mopar that has been worked. That I know there is 1 8v engine to run MS, UNAs NA Shelby Charger. I know of no running a turbo engine.

If your starting from scratch tuning is time consuming and requires all the gauges to get through. Being that there is places that sell a cal that will work with the engine I can't see why. With a flashable computer you can start off with a factory base code and go from there. Then tuning is over with quikly. Fueling isn't that tough, but pulling spark curve from blue sky takes time working the fuel curve with it off a EGT gauge. With a Mopar spark curve to start with you can fine tune it and then just go after fueling mostly. There is other stuff involved but the basics are there.

Now 16v, like if you dropped a SRT 4 engine in there. Then there is a lot of cals out there to add and get going. You can count all the people running MS with an 8v on one hand lol.

Ok. So it's not starting. Are you getting RPM while cranking? That's the first place to start. I'll be installing an MS3 into my Rampage next week, plan to document the heck out of it. Possibly do a video walk through, I've always wanted to. :)
