Ram 50 1988

Need help to find info on ram 50.

it's a 2.6 mitsu. automatic.

automatic tranny can support turbo head conversion?

The 2.6 mistu is different then our 2.2/2.5 it what came in the conquests

I have heard that some ram50 automatics had a chrysler torqueflite trans with the mitsu bellhousing pattern. IF you have one of those, the sky is the limit on what the trans can be built to take. However, im not sure my info is any good in the first place.

Is yours a 3spd or 4spd auto?

no pics right now, its sport cab 2x4, camera broked and its snowing... at the spring for pic sorry.
My problem...I know lot on turbo mopar and nothing about mitsu. I own mane turbo dodge
2 omni turbo, 2 charger shelby, 1 sundance, 1 daytona, and other turbo, subaru legacy and mazda 626 turbo, but never a mitsu and want to find info to having fun with ram 50...

look for a big setup as: heming ram 50 by using 300 or charger engine,tranny, rear end. putt coils and shock ect... but if i can use auto tranny from ram and sit 2l turbo from talon my plan could change...

well I know mitsubishi V6's!!! did you know that the ram 50 could be ordered with the 3. V6?! and a 2x4 V6 turbo ram would be FUN!!!!!

What A500 have specail?? i did.nt know it and my ram was A NARROW OR WIDE??

well the early gen before the 88 had the 904, could be that the 88 has the 500. Both are derived from the 904/998/999 trans.

I would order a pan gastet for the D50, then order one for the 1990 V6 Dak and see if the numbers are the same. If it is the same numbers you want to up grade to mag V6 parts at least.

Dropping in the 3.0 and a turbo or adding a magnum V6 with a turbo and B&G computer would also be nice. The 3.0 would be easy compared to the Dodge engine. I wonder if the 24v would bolt up to the 3.0 trans..... Lots of twin turbo room lol.

all of the 6G7x motors (2.5,3.0,3.5,3.8) will bolt up to the 3.0 trans. but wont bolt to the 2.6 4 banger. a twin turbo will fit and would make for an awesome ride!!! the ram 50 is lighter than any 3000gt,stealth,daytona,or even the shadow!!!!!!

If i understand... my tranny automatic will bolt on a v6 twin turbo from stealth?! but no other v6 mitsubishi??

Which 4 cylinder fit on my tranny? someone know how to check if I have narrow or wide engine

The Mitsu 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, and I'm pretty sure the 3.8 V6's will bolt to the 904. Assuming that's what you have.

As for the narrow or wide engine, I'm not sure what you mean? I mean, I guess you could measure it...Do you mean Transverse or Longitudinal mounting?

He's talking about narrow block or wideblock, which is a mitsubishi 4cyl thing and has nothing to do with any v6s or dodge motors.

According to a chart i have, an 88 d50 2.6 would be a wideblock.
