Hey, I wanna see what turbo 3.0 projects have been completed sucessfully or otherwise. I want to eventually piece together my own turbo 3.0 setup with around 10psi of boost.

Some nice setups i've seen and am envious of.

Who's car is the second one. I'm so tempted to repeat that in my GF's engine bay when she isn't looking.

Her low mileage 3.0 and long 3 speed trans are just dying to spool a little turbo.

I'm wondering if they'll move all the turbo 3.0L info over to this area now?

How did you do the rear manifold on your Shadow? I noticed you have it all wrapped so its sort of hard to tell?

the rear manifold is custom made. pretty much looks like the front manifold (log type). the turbo is mounted from the crossover pipe. the turbo itself is a t3 from a ford, probably a turbocoupe. (60 a/r on the compressor side, 48 a/r on the exhaust side...for now..)

YIKES!!!!!!!

That turbo will just about boost at idle!!!!!!!

I have found that the 60 trim compressor of the T3 is bearly enough for a stock motor. You will find that it will be loosing power right around 4500-5000 rpms. But using the .48 A/R turbine housing will choke out the exhaust qicker than that. I recommend getting a .63 A/R housing at the very least.

Both Brent and I agree that a T3/T4 hybrid would be the ideal choice on a stock 3.0L motor. Preferably a 50 trim mated to a stage II or III turbine wheel/housing.

But don't take this as "Gospel", since I'm going with two smaller turbos for my project.
