ok, i put one on, the 8a uses about an extra 1/4 qt or so, i didn't exactly measure it. As far as the amsoil blowing up chryslermotors do u know whatblows up and how many miles did it have on it when it blew. I went to a chrysler dealership and they said that they have used amsoil in many of their vehicles, even their own, and they have not spoke of any problems. He has the 24k mile formula in his car and he let me look at the dipstick, looks new and he said that it has 18k miles on it already. He has a spirit 3.0 604(has rebuilt the trans though)

The PH8A equivalent in Wix is 51515...use it in the turbo mini & it fits with room to spare. With synthetic oil, I use Royal Purple in the S/C Regal and Mobil 1 in the mini-but there is no way I'd leave it in for the kind of miles that some folks brag about or the companies advertise. The Buick has an 'oil life' gauge that I let get to 15% then change out the fluid- the best I've done is about 6800 miles.

Becareful with that, some of them use the stupid Metric filters and if you use the wrong filter-BOOM, off it goes and your engine goes bye bye.

This was around 65k miles. Amsoil would do nothing to help him out.
What you talking about Willis?
Everyone has issues with products. That oil has been indepantly tested in taxi's for over 100,000 miles WITH NO OIL CHANGE and no varnish, wear, sludge etc. My race bikes use it as do countless others, no issues.

Call it a silly-straw chromosome in my personality, I just can't see not changing my oil out for huge periods of time. I would like to see the T-III minivan, however.

The only 3.0's the use the metric filter are the ST bodies, which is a different 3.0 all together

Yeah, it has been tested in a semi-truck for something like 250k miles with no change and then the motor was taken apart and the cylinders still had crosshatching. I dunno what to tell ya if u don't like it, i think its the best oil out there.

I dunno, ill stick with good ole Mobil1. I have seen engines apart that have used amsoil and it looked like sludge to me. I have seen an engine apart at 100k and still had crosshatching, this was with Mobil1. It was a 4.7 out of a Dakota and was at a Chrysler Training facility. Everyone has their opinions. I will keep using Mobil1.
