so how can i override the factory regulator and put one after it thats adjustable

do what I did and get your hands on an early (88) parallel style fuel rail. I just cut off the part that goes to the stock regulator. Then fitted hose onto that pipe to a universal regulator.

That should work as long as you seal the threads....

I have found that PEX tubing barbs work as well. So far the PEX barbs have withstood 75+ psi of fuel pressure on DaytonaStein...

A 3/8" PEX T and a 3/8" PEX to female pipe thread would have done the same thing with less joints and less $$.

i couldn't get a tee so i did the next best thing...It all only cost me like $10
