I won a ebay auction for a strut tower bar from the 95-99 neon, and know it can be modded to work on the daytona, i sent my money and just have to wait for the part to arrive, but wondering if this actually helps with steering in the corners like it says it does?

for the price i got it at, probably won't be great but who knows.

It's definately the best mod for the money that you can do for your car as far as suspension is concerned. I got that neon bar for $21 shipped and it tightened up the front of my car really well. I can take turns a lot better and the car drives more predictable and seems more planted on the ground.

Yeah, i've got pics, just look at the third page on my cardomain page to see my bar and the holes I had to drill to get it to fit. The best way to tell where to put holes is to put the round mounting brackets on top of the tower bolts and take a rubber mallet to pound in marks where the bolts are. From there just drill it and install.

I just love mine!!!!!!

And I agree, it's one of the best modifications I've done to the suspension.

The stut bar will work on just about every AA, AP, AG, AJ, AC, and AY platform. The only ones that I haven't heard if they fit or not are the minivans and the L bodies.

I love mine, but the only complaint I had was that with the entire interior stripped, the car was a tad eager to rotate going into a corner. Pulling the interior takes out a greater proportion of weight over the rear than the front, and when the front end is tight, and the rear suspension is still kinda floppy, it wants to try to spin much more easily than before. Having the interior back in cured it.

Okay, so because the holes don't directly line up, did you guys just drill holes in the mounts with like a half inch drill bit??

yes, just like stated above, just overlay the ring on the strut tower and tap it down to get the markings, then just drill out where the markings are at. I'm sure there is more alignment to be made so the strut tower is touching on both sides so take caution of that.
