I suppose a few people would like to know a little about me. I am Ed Kelly, 37 years old, married with 2 kids (5 and 7). I have a BS in Computer and Electrical Engineering. I am employed as a software engineer at Delphi.
I have worked on a variety of automotive controllers. For the last 8 years I have been in advanced engineering in a power electronics department. (For an example, I had a minor part the Chrysler ESX3.) More recently I have been involved in some advanced mode diesel combustion projects...
On the side I have been working with Mike Mulhern on some 3L v6 performance projects as part of Kelly-Mulhern Performance ( www.kmperformance.com.) Now that Daytonastein has laid down some decent numbers, I am about ready to take the manifold off so I can duplicate it...
I have also mentioned that I am working on a new set of stage 1 ported cylinder heads. The flow bench results are looking promising. Next up installing them on my Voyager for some dyne results. As it turns out there is a vehicle dyne about 10 minutes from my house... (I was shocked because I live in rural IN...) The guy is soon going to be installing an engine dyne too!
Mike has a project brewing, but he has had to put in rediculous hours at his main job. So he had zero time to work on it...

I suppose I should climb out of the shadows and introduce myself. My name is Mike Mulhern. I'm 30 years old, married with no kids, and living in the Chicago Suburbs. I have a BS in Civil Engineering. My hobbies include computer programming, obsessing about how to make my cars faster, beer, and really figuring out how to make anything run better or faster, oh and did I mention beer. I'd call myself a “tweak freak”. I love building things whether I’m working with Ed to build a car, building a workbench, welding up a new exhaust manifold, writing a new computer program, or finding a faster way to start the grill. You get the idea.
By day I am a consultant doing data migrations with a company called Premier International. SAP, Peoplesoft, JD Edwards, Lawson ...a client wants to implement it; I manipulate the legacy data and load it up. By night and weekend, assuming I can get away from my day job, I try to find time for the rest of my life, part of which is the other half of Kelly-Mulhern Performance. Unfortunately for about the last year, I haven’t been able to spend anywhere near as much time on cars as I would like.
As far as cars go, I own a 92 Daytona IROC and a 91 Daytona ES. In college I drove a 90 Daytona. …anyone see a trend? The ES is bone stock and kind of a rust bucket. The IROC, somewhat modified and better in appearance. My wife drives a 2000 Eclipse… also a 3.0 5spd… just the more modern variant.
I built the KMP experimental n/a header prototype… which was basically loud but not powerful. Let’s just say it was educational. A second prototype is refluxing in my brain, but hasn’t manifested itself into steel yet. My current project involves additional displacement, extra valves, boost, a 568 transmission hiding in a 543 case (courtesy of Juggy), and a lot of welding. …I am hoping to have the base setup running by September with higher boost to follow however depending on how my work schedule goes, that could slip to next spring. The sad thing is that I solved the biggest engineering obstacles a year ago but I haven’t had time to complete the more trivial tasks. Oh well. C’est la vie.
That’s about it for me. …as Ed would say, “Back to the salt mines…”

My name is John, please call me Dawg or Skinny. Iam 26. I have been a Chrysler Parts Advisor for about 8 or so years now. I have been at 3 Chrysler dealerships. I am a car guy to the max. I enjoy lowriders and fast low budget cars (hence my turbo Sundance). I like to make something out of nothing. I have a daughter she is 4. I am a hardcore lowrider/minitrucker at heart. I am currently working on my 95 S15. It is receiving about $3000 woth of suspension right now. I have had it since I was 19. But I am very proud to own a TD. Plans with this car, not so sure. Body is twisted kinda bad, no body panels line up. Soon I WILL be picking up a Pbody or Gbody to fit my +40 injectors, MP backcut valves and brand new super 60 turbo etc I have in my possesion to fit the parts more nicely. I am the only guy I know to buy parts first, then buy a car to fit the parts. Oh and I follow everyone of these 3.0 threads. Amongst my many cars I have owned there have been a few 3.0's and your guy's research and trial and commitment is like no other. I have found that the 3.0 cals BLOW! Christ put a K&N in it and it almost leans out. After my 95 S15 & my TD atleast getting 12's I plan on a AS body mini with a 3.0 DOHC twin turbo. But that wont be atleas for 5 years or so. So guess I will get beat on that one! I have alot of other hobbies too. I hook up Power Wheels. Yea you heard it right! My daughters VW Beetle is the fastest on the block at 9.5mph (stock is 4.5). Need a hook up on the PW gimme a shout!

Hey mike. Since you like computer programing and making cars fast, how about working on a custom calibration for our 3.0L motors? I know many that would like to be able to use a 2 or 3 bar map sensor with larger injectors.
I'm just soo lost when it comes to these damn electronic gizmos.

Well, it didn't hurt to ask.
I just wish someone would step up and make some decent progress on the 3.0L code. Even if it's just in the SMEC. I'm not apprenhensive about swapping out my SBECII for a SMEC. Especially if that means I can run low imp injectors. Using Chrysler turbo injectors would be much easier to do, and cheaper, than using ford performance injectors.

There's a black 89 GVX convertible just down the road from me, it's a daily battle to resist knocking on the owner's door with cash in hand.....

Hello to all. My name is David. I work as an architectural drafter at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. I live on the Kentucky/Tennessee line, so, that gives me a 130 mile a day commute, mopar style. My rides are a 1990 Daytona 3.0 in pieces for a manual steering convert, conversion to 5 speed, and weight reduction. Daily driver is now a 1989 Daytona ES 2.5 Turbo that I picked up last week. It has a few non-optional items like an intercooler along with a transmission cooler (where they came from, who knows?) Today was the first shake down run. So far so good. This car replaces the '93 Dodge Shadow 2.5 that was put to rest at 218,000.

Wednesday nights 9:00 to 11:00pm at the Quakertown memorial park's swimming pool parking lot. We have quite a few TD guys around the area.
Oh... the name is Alex. I work in a cubicle in Skippack. I drive an ugly and "highly dicked with" Spirit R/T. At least that's what my dad calls it.

LOL, dang thing never worked well for me, dumped tons of money and was moving and was forced to sell it, wouldn't ya know around 2 years after i sold it i saw the guy that bought it from me still driving it around, i'm glad atleast it worked for him, spent more time fixing it than driving it, but it still wasn't as bad as my 88 pontiac 6000LE that was my biggest POS EVAR!
I think the only gear that the GV liked was reverse
