That also shows why the 1/4 MPH is a better indicator of HP, than ET...

Pulled the fuel filter (old, who knows when last replaced, I guess I never did) and installed the filter from a Chevy 2500 1/2 ton.

I cut open the stock Fram filter and you can see it has collapsed.

I have been trying to figure out why my car has been leaning out. The alky pump doesnt seem to be leaking like I thought it was so I am not sure whats going on. Its been running fine while tuning then hours later leaning out massively.
I am not sure if this fuel filter is "bad" or if that is normal.

Fuel is fixed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got my roommate who knows nothing about cars to come with me and help Datalog. I did 3 datalogs where we were pegging the wideband even after lowering the rate of gain and increasing boost, then the 4th blew an IC hose (which broke a headlight bracket). Put it back on for the 5th and last pull, ignored that feeling that I should go home (the spirit or intuition or whatever you want to call it).....and the car that was behind me when I got on the freeway was an alcohol task force guy. He said he couldn't pace me but when he caught up to me I was doing the speed limit or a bit under which was probably a good thing. I don't drink so I wasn't drunk so I think that made him happy. He might have thought I was drunk but I think I was too far ahead of him for him to see the car change lanes when I got out of the throttle (tires blew away 4th gear) and then went back to part throttle.
He said no Exhibition of Speed Ticket tonight but to "not do that again."
My roommate who was datalogging said a good rule of thumb would be: when there is an explosion (IC Hose, etc), go home.
So I guess the car is ready for Vegas.

I am really really really really happy about my fueling though. Replacing the fuel filter changed my 15:1 air fuel ratios into pegging the wideband at rich!
I feel sorry for my fuel pump. I sorta hate this car because I can't tune the car without being in 4th gear. I might have to relegate myself to the dyno now because thats cheaper then a ticket tuning on the freeway at 1 AM.

My roommate is not a car guy but he said that datalogging felt incredibly safe compared to what one of his friends with a race car showed him...aka driving really fast for long periods of time on Texas backroads and then slamming on the brakes just before hitting 5mph corners, etc. He said it was fun instead of scary.

Car is now doing 11.8-12.2 on the wideband at 21-22psi boost (on the 5th run).

I could try for more but I think this is a good place to stop. Its great to know what the fuel system problem was. I thought my Alky pump started leaking again but that wasn't the case.

I sorta want to hit the dyno now!

BTW, the intercooler piping explosion broke my passenger headlight off of the bracket :(
It was the bracket that I cut up to save weight. Not sure how I will fix it :(
The bracket is what broke. I got luck and the little mouth on my bumper caught the intercooler. I dont have a bracket holding up the intercooler.

Made a trip with Ondonti to Tcharged performance for some dyno tuning pulls. He figured out his fuel problem was a clogged filter. Fixed that and suddenly had more fuel than he needed. lol And was pegging the wideband. At 20psi, the car felt downright unsafe even with the radials on. So, we decied to dyno tune. Very happy with the results he got. :number1:
Built 6g72 12 valve with t67 turbo, 91 pump and meth. Stock computer, stock ignition, rising rate regulator. 20psi....

Datalog...

Dyno chart...

SEXY powerband. Ran out of wastegate spring so Limited to 20.5psi, and nice safe a/f.
look at the spool on the old dino journal bearing turbo! :faint: 200 ft.lbs increase in torque in 500 rpm!

Video...
Ondonti's 516whp @ 20psi dyno run - Video

Major props to Ondonti for all the hard work he has put into this car!

Much thanks to Tcharged performance for the GREAT service, patience and for being all around cool car guys.

Is that 500 HP I see there?!

Way to go Brent! CONGRATULATIONS!

Sorry about your IC/headlight bracket, er, hybrid?, breakage. Good thing you didn't loose the IC.

Wow! Imagine that! Over 500 HP now, just from changing the fuel filter. j/k

I bet a flurry of UFO reports start coming in from your area now. ;)
