Sometimes it is a good idea to just slow down and/or take a break anyway.

Best of luck with it all Brent.

just working on the wiring harnesses. I had to attach a VSS plug and the radiator plug because those got snipped. I actually did a god job on the vss.....even covered it with convoluted tubing and taped it up. Looks stock now :P

So still working on it. But inside out of the rain.

Seems like a reasonable and prudent move to me.

Well I got the harness together........

The o2 seems to be working fine now (it reads 14.7 instead of 21.00 when the ignition is on and the car isnt running).

Not sure why it works now....the ground may have been loose and I tightened it.

Now I have the problem of the ignition key light staying on. I dont know why. before when I had this problem it was because I had blown the fusable link to the ECU. The ECU is working and the fusable link is good so i dont understand.

I should also mention that The dome light wont turn off as well.
I tried another time delay relay and that didnt help. I messed with the little switches that tell when the doors shut........Didnt help.

I had this problem before and fixed it but it had to do with a maxi fuse that seems to be just fine.

are you sure that your dimmer switch isn't in the far position? I hate to be obvious, but..................

No, I played around with the dimmer when I was trying to see what it was. I have made that mistake in the past though.

Currently I just unplug this small white 2 wire connector on the engine harness to turn off those lights when Im not working on finding the problem.

I went through the halo light (on the ignition key) schematic and could not find a problem. I havent checked the dome light. I know they are connected so they both are sharing the same problem.

Yay.

Well I messed around with the dimmer switch some more, and the problem is gone.

I think the reason why I thought it was a problem, was because when I first messed with the dimmer switch, I had the dome light unplugged (I didnt know it was unplugged) so messing with the dimmer switch didnt turn off the ignition light (its time delayed).

Now that I have the dome light plugged in, impatient Brent can see the dimmer switch doing something.

Now it might be forever.

It looks like the key on the crank broke when I let the clutch out to start the car while moving.

At least one cam seized.

Well crap!

I am so sorry to hear that. You have had some bad luck with this job.

Did the crank key journal get tore up in the process? Hope not.
