Got the crank out tonight.

main bearings look good. 4 rod bearings look good (good = a little bit of shine so should be no damage on those crank journals).
#3 rod bearing was down to the copper
#4 rod bearing spun. The crank journal is covered in burnt oil so Im hoping that means there wasnt much wear. Not sure if i need to get the rod resized. I really dont want to take the block apart that much. there is some bearing material on the rod.

Taking the crank to my machine shop maybe friday. Will try to get some pictures.

Havent gotten that far. The motor was turning when I was taking it apart so nothing had "siezed"
Im still not sure what the high pitched barking sound I heard was right when I turned off the motor. I dont want it to be the cams. maybe that was when the bearing spun.

Oh, I also came up with this cool way to tighten or remove the crank bolt when you cant stop the motor from turning. I had this piece of metal with holes in it (its like a huge long crappy steel magnet)
bolted 1 side to the crank where the flywheel bolts go, then I put put a thick screwdriver though the steel piece into a hole where you bolt up the tranny.

Then i was able to get the bolt on/off easy.

I took pictures last night, didnt post them yet.

The crank seems to mic out okay. My machinist wants me to pull the rod though so he can resize it since it spun and might not hold a bearing in the future.

Crank is back. Journals are ground 10/10. Need .10" oversize bearings now for the rods.

It would be cool if you get the manifold done. If you get some more work done be sure to post pics.

original computer

It was not happy until I was able to increase fuel pressure.

on stock injectors it tried to idle at 20-21+ A/F on the wideband.
