The second video does have a slightly different sound to it. I hate to say that, but it's there. Unfortunatly I do beleive that a good inspection is worthwhile in this case due to how much work you do have in it. I know it sucks, but it's better than throwing a rod or ruining the crank....I hope it turns out to be nothing...You KNOW it runs...now we just got to make it run WELL!!

Good job man, that turbo spools so easily, love that sound,

The 2nd vid, it does sound like a rod knock. I know you've had enough but check them before you do anymore damage.

If it turns out its knocking I dont know what Im gonna do then. My crank was balanced (they added weight blah blah) but id rather just get another crank from the junkyard and throw it in after having it checked out. I dont like that im using oversized rod bearings.

I posted this on 3si.org.
-------------------------------
I think my brain is telling me to just pull the pan and pull the rod caps and see whats up.

I had the motor apart after I spun a bearing # 4 after oil starvation. #3 was down almost past the copper but it did not spin.
I only had rod #4 resized so maybe #3 spun. I was under the assumption that I only needed to resize the rod that spun.

I sorta want to take it apart to see if it was #3 or of my car just decided to kick me in the balls for no reason.

I would say the same thing, but it is pretty clear that Brent is very dedicated to this project. And besides, he can probably pull a 3.0 faster than anyone else on the forum.
