Pittsburgh has had a full week straight of 50-60 degree daytime temperatures, around freezing at night, and if the rest of winter is just like this, that would be fine with me.

Who needs snow, ice, road salt, and the all around general misery of a southwest PA winter? Not me!

Use the snow time to collect a few more V-6 rods and get them prepared to swap in. A bent rod isn't worth trying to fix, and even if it was machined wrong, it'd take out too much metal to try and machine them straight again.

From what I have read straightening rods is a pretty normal thing that doesnt mean the rod is junk.

I do miss it. I haven't seen a decent snow in over a decade. To hell with southeastern North Carolina's weather.

Give me a good north eastern snowstorm any day during the winter.

I grew up in PA. I miss those winters of days-gone-by. Here, we'd be lucky to have a day of freezing rain.

As a matter of fact, I don't even bother with purchasing all season tires or winter treads down here. It's that pathetic!

Some day I'll have to tell you of a story about me and my Lebaron, pulling a Silverado 1500 from a ditch in the middle of winter here.

Are these just stock 3.0 rods? I guess I was under the assumption that they were upgraded forged rods or something. Either way, I would be a little worried if it bent rom just a spun bearing. I can see the inside getting scored and scratched, but not bent. Where you really beating on it when the bearing spun?

Well there is a good chance the rod saw 300whp :P

The stock rods should be fine for me up to 700-800fwhp.
I have extra ones though.

Oh yea. I remember that. Those things could get to be as big as your fist!! But it's the small ones that really make you miserable.
