He has installed and pulled the motor enough times to be better than me at it. I could just about pull a 3.0L with my eyes closed.

Take shortblock to get fixed tomorrow morning

This next pic I took this morning, someone died in front of my house last night in a hit and run accident.......douchebag people driving 50 in a 25 on the busiest pedestrian street in the state (but everyone seems to do that)
Please dont drive stupid around busy crosswalks or in school zones.
Dont know yet who this was but the news crews have been here twice and its probably one of my neighboring students.

well I dropped my shortblock off today. My builder has his top fuel car in Ponoma racing so I guess I have to wait a bit.

No, I think ill stick with the best shop in the state.

The problem I had was when I asked to have a rod resized and a crank fixed.
I didnt ask them to check the rod and I was "in a hurry"

So if you would find someone who would grind a crank for 40 bucks send them my way.

Im the one who bent the rod

The best shop? all I've seen in this thread is how they messed up this, didn't check that. If they fixed the crank and fixed the rod(s) but didn't check them how can they be "the best"

$40 crank grind turned into a couple $1000 engine job and countless lost hours. Sorry, I'll spend $200 and have it done right the first time.

How do you bend a rod?

actually i think he forgot to check the main bearings after they ground them .010 and so he got screwed when he put regular bearings in. thats not the machine shops fault...
