Brent, totally off topic, but your N/A spirit vid is done and I will send it when I get home. I did a pretty cool one for my IROC as well.

Exactly

also
Rod probably bent when 300hp went to it and there was no bearing.

Got the motor back.

On the piston valve reliefs I had them grind off lots of material so i dont scrape the valves on them anymore.

They had to shotpeen another rod that I got from Josh (i can send your piston back now lol).
The other one was apparently trashed

they took 4/1000'ths off on the honing machine in case there are some hotspots etc from running low on oil (or a slight egg shape).

I got it home put the oil pump on real main seal on and oil pan.

Im done now cause I just found out the girl I loved got engaged to some other guy 4 days after our last date (stopped working on motor cause I was thinking about her too much).

D2mn dude...that blows @ss!!! I had a girl of the past break up with me via E-mail....I know that probably doesn't help you, but I understand where you're coming from.

Get back to the car, and concentrate on it and school...a good chick WILL come your way. I didn't believe that not too long ago, but things DO change...let the boost flow my friend!

Well I have too much schoolwork to touch the car but I took a few minutes to go buy some paint supplies. I wanted to practice doing the "rustoleum paint job" on the wing of my duster which is in the shed and while I was painting I realized I should paint the engine bay while The motor is out. :P

Gloss black. I dont think Im gonna wetsand or polish the engine bay......just get it painted.

It was a nice day and I am past my hellish mon/tues school schedules so after class I stripped the engine bay, then cleaned and then sanded it.
I didnt do an amazing job, im also glad I cut up my fingers very little when sanding. Only started bleeding everywhere once.

Im gonna start throwing paint everywhere tomorow I guess. I am painting the entire inside engine bay and brake booster. Then also the front of the chassis (whatever is on the other side of the enging bay in front). Also hitting the radiator support beam etc.
It didnt suck as bad as I thought it would with some music to listen to.... AND DECENT WEATHER!!!

Looks crappy and has plenty of runs from the brush getting squished when I hit tight places.
Needs a few more coats.
I am very happy with it though I wont have to worry about this when its done. It does look cool from a few feet away so I think when I do a decent job with wetsanding etc on the car it will look good.
