Meaning the higher the vacuum (idle and cruising conditions) the richer it will be. Because the pcm thinks that there is less fuel pressure than there actually is. Then, if this is the case, as the O2 sensor is trying to adapt the mixture for the lack of fuel pressure control, the fuel adapt factors will go completely crazy trying to figure out just how much fuel the PCM needs to remove in order to keep it within "clean burning" specs.
You're right, you could not use that with a stock computer setup. I was merely addressing the above-mentioned issue with needing a non-rising-rate regulator.

my regulator has 2 vacuum ports. One for RRR and one for base.
A simple test would tell if it would work.

I am going to have to take some pictures of how this exhaust isnt even close to fitting.

but it looks like if I basically install it improperly, it will fit. I called and well, I sorta am laughing at the advice as I suggested the way to fix part of it and then someone pretended that is what is meant to be done.

The 3" from FWD that I put on the Spirit doesnt seem to fit either, I had to cut ~5" off the leg where it goes over the axle and if fits tight through the panhard brace and by the spring. This is w/ the car sitting as high as it can go in the rear w/ the adj suspension. Its on and rattles, I need to tweak it some so I can lower it.

I have a picture of what I just did. The weld looks horrible because it was upside down and I coudlnt really fit in there but I guess it works.

I cut the bracket that holds the hydraulic brake line, then moved it over about 1.25"
Clamped it then welded back in place. so that gives me more room.

BTW the JRB may be the only TD exhaust that actually fits. It doesnt need extra bends welded onto the end near the panhard bars etc.

Mine was missing a hangar too.

i got my 3in exhaust from fwd also. it took my 6hrs to install but i did it perfectly. the only part that didnt fit right was the rear section was angled wrong so my muffler was crooked. so i cut it at the bend, straightened it out and welded it perfect. it actually fit really well after that.

The advantage I have is that there is no spare tire well in my car anymore so the muffer can go straight back.

Good news on my regulator. The diaphrams were "worn" (they suggest rebuild 10k but you can maybe go 20k miles at a limit...some people have gone beyond by why chance it) but since I didnt put many miles on it and It never saw very high presssure (stock pump wouldnt create more then maybe 85-90psi) its probably an issue that the regulator sat for a long time without being used that the diaphram didnt behave well after being used again and "wore" or maybe was already worn after just the first time I tried using it after it sat.

They updated the parts inside (this is a first generation unit and they have improved some internals) and replaced my damaged fuel pressure gauge with the current one (which is supposed to be better, the one mine came with before had a plastic face that fogged when gas touched it and I had to break it off so I could see the needle).

Well they only charged me for the rebuild kit ($30) so Im pretty happy with that. I wish I was treated that well by some other vendors.
It ships out today.

I still have to call and get my missing exhaust hanger and 2 more clamps.
edit
cough cough well thats cool, I am technically paying for shipment of the missing hanger because I had to buy 2 new clamps. Cool. Not.

Here are the exhaust pictures I took a few days ago.

crap exhaust pipes

Borla xr-1

Here is the modification I had to do to this bracket because the exhaust pipes were not even close to fitting.

It finally sorta fits in back but now the front is jacked. The 2 90 deg bends are also too far apart, that is why I had to cut up and reweld that bracket over about 1.25"

So im gonna cut the double 90 in half, and then "reclock" it so the front 90 aims at the muffler isntead of the ground.

You can see I have an easy install back here because there is no rear tire well.

Brent, how do you like those pipe joints/couplers? I sell them at my work, and they look pretty easy. Do they seal well?

I cant really say how well they seal. I know other people have complained about them.

I had a different one from summit racing and it was "too small" to properly stretch over the expanded end of my other muffler.
I havent actually inspected that one to see how much it leaked.

The one from summit that I bought (walker brand) is not very good IMO. Just looking at it I dont know how it would seal

I had to bend that bracket when I put 2.5" pipes on my Spirit too.. It's just a useless bracket sitting there and the pipe hit it when it moved.

I needed a bit more room so bending was not enough. The exhaust pipes are not bend correctly.
$10 in shipping and look what I got in the mail...Im not sure if I should throw up right now or later.
