There's a lot of pressure on those friction pads like that. How long do you think it'll last?

My 4 puck has basically no wear on it. The clutch does not slip like a stock clutch so you dont get that same wear. They do have a tiny wear depth though. Stockers have like 3/16" wear depth or more.
They tend to eat PP's and flywheels.

BTW, it looks like setting cam gear timing is going to SUCK

Hard to move the center section and fight the timing belt etc.

I also had to redo the repair I did on my broken doweled camshaft because when i pulled the cam bear the dowel fell out. It is still not that great but oh well.

Weeee. I got the cams degreed.
Looks weird because the cam sprocket centers are not in the same place. Im glad Im not using marks on the cam sprockets to do this or I would be way off....in fact i cant believe someone would do that on an engine with more then one cam.

Degreed the cams @ 102 ATDC

Built motor looks a lot prettier now.
I cant wait to see it in the engine bay with the turbo all hooked up.

well I can say that people who think 4 bolts is not enough to hold the cam gear....
I didnt even think to tighten the bolts (they were finger tight with an allen wrench and when i say allen wrench I mean using the short end to turn and I didnt push hard.......

well I was able to torque the cam pullies to 70 ft/lb's and only one of them slipped :P I wasnt even thinking about the fact that I needed to tighten them before I did this :P

Oleg and Alex at Clutchnet are good folks to deal with. I am lucky, I just drive over and they make me what I want, usually in 15 minutes or less. Few weeks agao, I pulled an oops. Ordered up a large spline 523 six puck, installed it, heard a metal on metal noise Pulled the trans and guess what, some 523's had small spline shafts Didn't know that Anyway, took the disc back to Clutchnet last week, they changed out the center hub, appologized profusely (I told em it was my fault!) and sent me on my way 10 minutes later for tyhe grand total of $0.00. Good guys those clutchnet folks...

BTW Oleg's wife fell in love with my TC last time I had it out there. All the Clutchnet gang came outside and I ran a mini TC clinic for about 15 minutes
