Okay i went for a little drive with things fixed.
Took some video (no shifting cause Im holding the camera).
Ill try to get that uploaded really quick.
3rd gear pull and then a 2nd gear burnout in front of my house :P

I am really pissed though.

The transmission will NOT shift above 3000 rpms.
Now I need to diagnose that before friday night. I might just try my other spare transmision.

You are almost there. I have to admit, that I am very impressed, with how you have stuck with it and worked things out. Best of luck to you.

i had been swaping around ecus and that video tells me that I accidentally left the auto trans computer installed. You see it hit the limiter @ 5800 rpms.

Is the ecu for a van different? Mine will go to 6500 before the limiter kicks in. I tryed one from a standard daytona but it would not run.

yeah it seems to be spooling a bit slow.
I am wondering if on a boosted car (with big cams) advancing the cams might have hurt me.
feels stronger from 1500-2500rpms but....i dont care about those rpms.

well your only running 5psi on a low compression motor. i think those cams will help alot once you turn the boost up.

Well I am refering to advancing the cams.
On stock cam timing I had 5psi @ 3300ish rpms
with 8 degrees advance on the cams I have
2psi @ 3000 rpms and 5psi @ 4000 rpms. That boost increase is not acceptable.

Since I am pulling the motor..unless someone tells me my logic is wrong, I am going to set the cams back to stock 110 degrees centerline.

thanks terse - fixed. hmmm, if advancing moves it down.....does it affect how much exhaust velocity there is? if the valve is opening really early, could it not be building enough pressure prior to leaving the cylinder?
