That thing does sound awesome. Did it sound that good with just the big exhaust or do the turbo and cams have a lot to do with it? I cant wait to see how it runs when you can rev it up to 7000 or more.

Are you still having the spark plug issue? If not what did you do to fix it?

Ondonti, I hope this time when I say 'be careful', that you will know I really mean 'be careful', because that thing is just plain crazy fast now.

I hope your brakes and suspension are in top shape.

What kind of exhaust system and muffler is on the car now? Kind of sounds like a Flowmaster muffler.

Ultraflow dynomax after the K frame and then another borla xr-1 at the rear bumper.

I might get an exhaust cutout for it this fall/winter but its really way to loud without those mufflers.

Cams and the lower compression. My spirit just has big exhaust with stock motor. Its loud but it doesnt sound sexy like this.

Well with the rings seated it seems to be less of an issue.
The last spark plug issue I had was not really spark plug problem.

Well I was going to change the cam timing but decided just now I dont have time to figure it out (need 5 hours sleep and I have class in the late morning) so I would just swap back on stock cam gears.

It looks like the rear cam gear slipped so it is way off from what the front cam is. It probably got retarded to ~125 degrees while the front cam is set @ 102 degrees.

Anyways thats probably why my powerband seems so linear in those videos.

Because 3 or 4 little bolts pinching 2 flat pieces of metal together aren't enough to keep it from slipping with the loads it has on it. I've been saying that for years. Not just here, but in other automotive forums as well.

It's like those POS Phantom Grip limited slip differential things.

Oh yeah that crack in the wastegate setup area. I didnt realize that that had fixed your problem. Thats good news. I know about cam gears jumping....pita. Oh and isn't it just one bolt? The cams have a tooth that aligns onto the cam gear....then one bolt.

I probably didnt tighten that gear enough.

No, the wastegate problem really wasnt a big problem..just meant the turbo spooled slower BUT since my rear cam is retarded all the way it spooled even slower then just having the crack. Whats funny is that I think the cam timing makes a bigger difference in the turbo spoolup then the broken wastegate pipe.

Well ironically enough. I get into the staging lanes and plug #4 fouls. I did run twice but it was with a bad cylinder and the car runs REALLY slow like that. 16's ewe

I towed the car home cause I couldnt keep the plug dry and no way I could check for electrical problems etc.
