Oil pressure is fairly high because i shimmed the relief spring on the oil pump and I have 20-50w oil in there..but not crazy high. 20ish warm idle. 25-40 cruising.

I am going to try some tests on the oil return. Run the engine with the turbo removed and see if pressure is coming out of the return line...and then I will try pouring oil in the return line with the engine running. (turning it off not to long after because the test will be self defeating once there is too much oil in the pan).

Will probably have to wear some ear protection during that test because the exhaust will be blasting upwards from the tranny area with no muffling except the exhaust manifolds :P :P

Anyone have thoughts on tests I could try?

I want to do something simple before trying to determine if oil is just getting splashed onto the return...if that was a problem I would probably just try welding on a small baffle in front then.

Ondonti,
Try temp. changing your return line to a clear tube to see what going on inside while everything is hooked up.
Is this going to be a race only car? I ask because the exhaust vac system may not provide enough crankcase ventilation at normal(?) road speeds. It also may not clear enough water vapor from the crankcase without outside air passing thru.
I remember someone used a PCV with the evac set-up for this reason. There was a check valve on it too.

Got lucky and it was just the freeze plug. It totally removed itself. Sort of a weird place because the block isnt really "open" right there. There is only make 2-3mm of space behind the plug and then the steel around cylinder in the block. The block is amazingly beefy. 3/4" of high nickle iron surrounding that freeze plug.
Glad I dont have a 2.2/2.5 or that block would be trashed.

Interesting. See if you can find brass ones to replace it with and seal the crap out of it(obviously LOL). I've never liked the fact our cars came with steel freeze plugs...they're a disaster waiting to happen!

Well those are all new freeze plugs from when the motor was built. Those are 35mm so I guess you would just need to find a 35mm brass plug.

The others on the motor are 25mm I think. Dont know what the ones in the heads are.

The Zeitronix is hooked up again and it works
Its also updated to their newest specs so it can do stuff like alarms and also modify the narrowband output. I dont think I will be messing with that stuff.

Nice to hook everything up and just have it work the first time

The evacuation kit is on. You can feel it sucking in pulses at idle.

Had fun today. Cant wait for the videos. Nice that it was during the day

Oh btw, with the wastegate referenced to the compressor housing, and the fuel in its proper ratio (it was too lean after I installed the custom intake manifold and advanced the cam gears) the boost no longer creeps!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rock steady around 6psi
I think its funny that the car basically drives the same whether its tuned 10:1 or 12:1 a/f rations on the wideband. Without a dyno its impossible to tell where the power is located. Maybe I will hit up a dyno. The track is opening April 19th so i will try to get out there and shoot for some 112mph trap speeds on 6psi boost.
Would love to get the megasquirt done because I know I could get enough power to run an 11.99 or at least run 115mph if I could rev to a little over 7000 rpms instead of 6200. 6psi is where its at!!!

T67 6g72 Plymouth Duster Sundance - Video

Got my car back together to go to a dodge BBQ at the park yesterday and my friend put his drag radials on the car because he thought that would make for a more fun ride (traction). We found that regardless of the road, traction wasnt not happening until 4th gear unless we were really lucky.

I am really happy about the performance on just 6 pounds of boost though
I feel the setup is really happy...and I still have another 1000 rpms of powerband waiting above my stock rev limiter (hp peak is above my limiter too )

This is the only video he sent me so far.

Your using just 1 in the exhaust right? Are you using a catchcan between the VC's and the exhaust?

Do you have another boost gauge you can hook the evac to, to make sure it doesnt get pressurized at WOT?

I can just hook up my boost gauge. I dont need it when the car is running like it should.

Just one vent tube right now. No catchcan.

you need the MS man, a 7500rpm redline would work better than 6200 IMO. not bad though, you got an LSD in there? i dont remember lol
