OBX LSD. It just seems to make both tires spin instead of one :P
7500rpms would just be awesome and ridiculous
Another 1300 rpms of powerband. I dont like the fact that MS doesnt seem to be able to do a spark cut for limiter because the motor will freak out if I use methanol and hit the rev limiter.

MS can do fuel or spark cut for the limiter as long as you don't use EDIS. Cars running EDIS can only use fuel cut. MS also has a soft limiter that just retard timing, as well, that can be used with EDIS. This stuff is all available in the EXTRA versions of MS. MS2 EXTRA being the best way to go. MS1 Highres being next in line IMO

Another 1000-1500 rpm on the top end and the powerband on that car woudl be nucking futs! Ridding in that car was far more fun then the viper I got to drive!

Good to know! MS seems to be able to understand our distributor with the addition of a resistor so that means I am good to go for spark cut. I want to be able to safely spray alky and hit the rev limiter.

actually spark retard limiting DOES work with EDIS. it was originally limited to 13* of retard, but i poked at Grippo and in the next minor revision of the 2.88 code, it will have up to 25* of retard.

with 13* on my motor and a top limit of 6800, it will go to 7200ish, so with 25* ill be able to keep the limit more realistic

Sorry, I should have made that more clear. On EDIS spark retard limiting (soft rev limit) works but not spark cut (hard limiter).

true true, i think MS-II/Extra is near production status too.

brent, you could also go with an Accel 300+ CDI ignition box, soft cylinder spark dropping limiter

Yeah, I know there are other options for limiters, just means extra parts.

Congrats on getting it going again. Are you liking the evac system? Just wondering how it's working for ya.

Also, it seems like you're running a lot of air in those DR's. Drop it down a bit and you may have a *little* more success getting traction....

Oh yes, we could remove air. I know at the track I dropped them down to 12 psi and they were still worthless. I never got any good heat into them at the track though.

The thing is that for normal driving, I dont want to be on 12psi tire pressure. I was hoping for a tire that could hook up under normal conditions.

Well....LOL...I gotta say: good luck with that! I honestly beleive that you are going to have to do one of two things:

1: accept the fact the car isn't very streetable at WOT conditions and drive it accordingly

2: you're going to have to fiddle with the MS and see if it can do gear based boost and timing curves so that you can limit torque in the first 2 gears, possibly 3. I know that sounds kinda crappy and it will take a ton of work(more than likely), but it could make all the difference in the world between putting the power down and getting to go fast, and just having a nice smoke&noise show/dyno queen. Basically you're stuck kinda where a bunch of Supras are...GOBS of power...can't put it down to save their lives!

What's the difference between a 700hp, 900hp, and 1200hp Supra? Nothing! They all run 11's!! LOL

Now, it's time to go embarass those overpriced tin cans with shopping cart handles on the back! Got Traction?

that makes more sense. look into MS-I/Extra IMHO, its got more things you can do like that. go dig through msefi.com and msextra.com forums for whats availible.

(aside from the 3KGT AWD mod, but thats MINE! MUHAHAHAHA! )

Well I would have to figure out the basics of that kind of tuning before I did the boost per gear and stuff like that.

One thing about the 7.0:1 compression is that I can throw tons of timing at it. I have the base timing WAY advanced and dont actually know what it is right now. Probably 20 degrees. Thats how I can make the 7:1 motor act more like a 9:1 motor. And I could easily run it on 85 octane too or really really lean and it wont complain. I just wont do that out of a desire to have good turbo habits.
