Yay. I move the shifter cables to a different spot on the body but they are too long now. Oh well, it shifts better. Only problem is I need to make sure one of the cables doesn't try to get in the way of the gas pedal.

Nice work, Did you put some white lithium grease on the shifter rod for ease of motion?

Cable interfering with the gas pedal does sound scary!

any picks of how you moved the shifter, i have derlin bushings now and still find it bit hard to shift, probley mostly because of my custom shifter, like 1.5 inches of throw

You can see the shifter is sitting on electrical boxes. I just bolt it down wherever I want it. I made the shifter cable holes higher in the firewall but I just realized that the cables are way to long to do that. The car has J/G body cables in it right now which are also "extra long" compared to P body cables.

Your shifter probably sucks just because you cut the shifter.

Send a stock shifter to Jackson and he will lengthen the throw below the ball instead of cutting the shifter a bunch.

Lube'd up.

Shifts better even though the cable is still too long.
I clocked the shifter sideways a little bit so its easier to make the 2-3 and 4-5 shifts.

Well this car is leaving the hole great!

I was able to get a 1.75 and 1.76 60' tonight.
My secret was actually getting a slight burnout in 2nd gear (but the clutch still slips at the end of the burnout )

Then when the amber lights start going, I ride the rev limiter. Datalogs show I am leaving with 5 pounds of boost on my T67!!!!!
Clutch slips etc in 1st gear though.

Best pass was 13.0@104 (clutch yucky) and we turned the boost up to 9.5ish and the car ran slower and the clutch was more pissed off.

I am hoping I can keep up the 1.75 60's and maybe do better with the clutch fixed.
I will post up the timeslips. My 60' takes no effort. Its just ride the rev limiter, dump the clutch while keeping it WOT
I have to jut wait until the car feels like it isn't accelerating anymore though because I cant tell when its time to shift by RPMs since the clutch is slipping or slicks are spinning and hitting the rev limiter. Launching SO balls out was really really fun. Launching with boost is awesome. Its 5psi when I drop the clutch and it instantly goes to 6 8 or whatever I have the boost set to.

The datalogs I remembered to take on my 2-4th passes were very helpful. I was trying to get the 12.99 but upping the boost didn't help anything. I could probably run the same times with 6psi boost

It was AWESOME the way the car was leaving the line tonight! Props on a good setup! With a clutch, your car is going to be lethal.
Vids to follow tomorrow, when I can keep my eyes open.

Congrats on your runs. Finding the right launch technique is always a challenge.
Be careful you don't damage the flywheel with the clutch slippage.
What clutch set-up are you going to use?

bansheenut got them on video and so did a few other people.
I actually used one of the peoples videos to prove that on my first pass I was shifting too early which was helpful. He showed me while i was in the pits (woodrowz on this website).
