Yup. He used his set for the very first trip to the track, and found that the rubber was junk. He's been running my et drag's since.
Workin on the video....

What sort of 1/4 times will you get when you have it all dialed in?

Hard to tell. If the car gets megasquirted it will go faster on the same amount of boost.
The car is slower then I had hoped it would be but I think the 24.5" slicks and RPM limiter being too low hurt. Its also hard to tell with the clutch acting up.
We can probably make the car go pretty fast on 6-10psi boost but there is always 15, 20, 25 etc boost that can be done in the future with good engine management.
Its the most important thing and its what I am lacking :P
Motor leans out BAD in 3rd gear right now because of the crap stock volumetric curve. 4th gear is fine because my rpms arent getting past 5500 in 4th.

Well so far I am totally impressed already. I wish my van could do the 1/4 in 13. Hmmm. Come to think of it. I doubt I have ever even driven a car that fast. Must be a lot fun even as is.
I have no doubt that you will make your ultimate goal.

so get off your lazy butt and megasquirt the bloody thing! (and add a new clutch while your at it) :-D btw, great job so far, i hope i can get close to your times with my S/Ced setup. N/A right now, 3rd feels like the car has one ball and 4th is castrated

You wouldnt believe how gutless my spirit feels now..especially at this high altitude.
And now that I launched the car off the rev limiter building boost..I love the sound. I am going to remove the borla muffler and move the Ultraflow to the back and extend the exhaust to exit AFTER the bumper cover instead of a foot before the bumper (noise ).

Started taking the trans out tonight. Finding lots of oil everywhere. The blowbye apparently is not hurting the turbo as bad as it was before (pressurizing crankcase and then pressurizing turbo oil return line and forcing oil out of the turbine seal) because there was no wet oil in the turbine behind the wheel when I pulled if off tonight. I had been in boost soon before shutting it off so I didnt burn the oil off.
I am hoping the clutch has not truly failed because the pucks are soaked in oil. If they are (not sure if I will be able to tell but I am going to assume that oily clutch = bad pucks) then that means I need to solve the blowbye problem.
That would either mean temporary running a stock motor or just jumping into reringing the forged motor assuming that the piston ringlands are still in OK condition.
It will need a new block so that is one of my concerns. After that "no oil" fiasco a few years ago my worst blowbye cylinder had to be powerhoned .004" and I cant rebuilt a motor on that block unless we sleeve it. I have a rusty block in my driveway and i dont know if its usable. Since my pistons have a huge overbore I dont think rusty cylinders will matter but my shop might not like some other aspects of the block. If its not okay to use then i would need another motor and that would mean waisting a "nice" motor that could just be used for the short term.
the front valve cover seems to be leaking pretty bad, the rear not so much. I have the large crankcase evacuation hose on the rear and the small one on the front (just using the stock PCV nipple on front). If I put a larger nipple on the front cover then i will also put another evacuation valve on the downpipe.

13.0 6g72 Sundance Duster - Video
Clutch was slipping bad but still got some decent 60's on my 2nd and 4th passes. Was pretty pissed that the clutch kept me out of the 12's. I ran the 13.0 and then upped the boost a little and ran slower because the clutch slipped worse.

Camera battery almost dead so i didn't spend time getting a pic that is readable when downsized.

hey, how do you like the aluminum flywheel? im not sure whether i should get one or not...
btw, any grooves on the mating part of the flywheel? and that clutch looks a little toasted

the rivits are actually hitting on the pressure plate side. I just have the clutch flipped over in that pic.
I bought a new friction surface from TU last week but who knows when I will get it. I will start bugging them soon.
I love the flywheel though
Harder to appreciate it in my turbo motor except the obvious quick increase and decrease of neutral RPMS. On an NA motor its amazing how much happier the motor feels when driving. You can still chirp the tires in 4th gear with an aggressive clutch (lots of people complain about theoretical loss of momentum between shifts with a lighter flywheel, but almost all of those people have never owned one).
If I had plans for huge HP then I wouldnt use one because the heavier flywheel dampens crankshaft vibrations and flexing which tend to kill you when you make 800+hp on a forged crank (like yours). The limit should be slightly lower with the cast crankshaft but nobody really knows where it is.
Someday I will get another one for my spirit if this car will stop eating every penny.

what do you think killed your clutch? the massive slipping a couple weeks back? (clutch arm issue) your PP doesnt look too hot either, i think i spy some heat discoloring
Im still debating whether or not to get the aluminum flywheel with my motor and plans...

I guess it's time for a stintered metal clutch now. It just seems like the ceramic puck units just don't seem to hold up well for your application.
