I have not been here all that long but when I got here.I thought I knew just about everything (I admit it) but then I got reading after the first post I made showed how stupid I was and started learning, This guy sounds a lot like I did when I first got here READ! Kudos to Odonti I may not agree with everything he's done to his car but outrunning dodges fastest production turbo car the way he does and it not going bang speaks for itself.me personally would have tried to match engine to tranny limits a little better but as long as he doesn't mind changing trans go for it . I've got my chance to turbo a 3.0 but I'm using a different platform so theres no way I could compare my results with his so basically what I'm saying if never tried it or cant show any better way of doing it
don't bash people
210-230 cfm @ .400-.500" lift?
IMHO: Turbo is [way] too big. Cams are [WAY, WAY] too big. Revving past 6,000-ish, why bother? That's all likely beyond SOHC 24v and into DOHC territory, much less 12v range. If using a multi-meter was so tough - really over-stepped yourself playing GURU!
I saw the video and heard the motor struggle... And read the posts where you jumped it and swapped harnesses and jumped it and swapped (as clueless as a toddler with a .357 magnum)...
MS would help but "7500 RPM and 10 psi" are a waste of time. Best case scenario.
It's actually offensive that "some people" DARE to offer advice, know what I mean?
I've followed your posts for a long time, funny how "how do you use a multimeter?" to "expert running a 13.0 sec 1/4 with 11 seconds worth of parts" becomes a TD Deity!!!
Not trying to be $h!tty, just fail to see how your progression from "WTF do I do" to "I'm wasting parts like a fiend" to "I'm a God" really hopped off. Sort of sickening, when one stops to think about it. At least the posts where the harness impedance was AFU were "kind of" amusing. Actually, all things considered, the whole situation was hilarious.
LMAO! Be Cool!!!

Brent has done some cool things. No doubt about it. He has also made some seriously boneheaded errors, and yet there is no one who can claim they have not. Not a GURU, he is yet somewhat 'seasoned' now, and he stands out as a highly adventurous DIYer. I hope he succeeds in what he is doing. I look forward to watching him, becoming ever more gracious and patient, as he grows in years. He could come down to earth a bit more, it's true, and really I think I see him doing so.

He has indeed, and I hope I do too. I can be awful sometimes.
His turbo 3.0 is amazing, and say what you will. Brent gets results.

Been in Mexico for 3 weeks. I'm not so sure whats wrong with not knowing how to use a multimeter and asking for help? Are multimeters something my Psychology department forgot to teach as part of their founding curriculum?
And what does that have to do with supporting the other putdowns? I guess people should not post on td.com if they are not multimeter experts. I have no need to explain nonsensical statements.
This forum would be worthless if nobody was allowed to be learning/growing.

I just realized he has a bone to pick because last month he was suggesting people run larger injectors in the "FAQ guru" thread because he thought that would give some performance gain. Probably because he read that on one of the old incorrect websites that doesn't take into account our computers ability to adapt and also correct fueling regardless of injector size.
I am guessing that is where he got the word guru because apparently I should not correct someone (a real guru) who is wrong, especially someone who can use a multimeter (a real guru).

On another front, I am back to fixing the clutch and then taking care of a bunch of school stuff that I have been putting off.

While I did have lots of purified water, I did not stay away from the ice. I did catch a cold which is pretty lame considering all the stuff I was eating. Not what I expected. after about 20 days I did become "regular" though. Too much habanero sauce . Anyone ever had chihuahua cheese? Its great!
I have to get the clutch figured out now. clutchnet will be getting a call from me and i want a refund on that pressure plate.

Well after some grinding etc on a bad 3.50 gear tranny bellhousing, the 3000gt TT clutch setup that I borrowed from someone is still a long way from fitting so at least I wont have that floating around in my mind distracting me.

its all too big. It hits the bellhousing in a few places. I will take a pic of the bellhousing when I get around to it. I have pics of how far it was from fitting. . Also, their flywheel offsets itself away from the crankshaft which makes it stick out more then our setup.
The TT clutch/pp/flywheel is bigger in diameter then the n/a 3000gt clutch.
